while making this list i realized that besides the first 10 or so, everything's a bit out of order. and this is only satanic panic and beyond, mind you. otherwise i wouldn't be able to do this. i'm not strong enough. i'll do the earlier ones next.

since i'm kinda new here i thought i'd share my list and provide some thoughts to promote discussion.

1 In Dreams I Dance With You --Has anybody ever figured out who Orenda is? is it Orenda Fink?

2 If I Faltered Slightly Twice -- I just really love Kevin's sad songs; though i'm not sure if this is all that sad.

3 You Feel You Must Go, Don't Go! --Reminds me when me and my gf used to be long-distance and i didn't want her to go.

4 My Friend Will Be Me --Super depressing. Lodges itself into my brain at work, sometimes.

5 A Man's Life Flashing Before His Eyes While He And His Wife Drive Off A Cliff Into The Ocean

6 Buried With Me --Starts off like it could be a power-pop anthem and becomes a fucking weird mantra of "buried with me"s.

7 It's Just So --So beautiful i imagine i could weep to this if i actually had emotions.

8 A Dreamy Day of Dreaming of You -- See #7

9 Jennifer Louise --THE power-pop anthem. right up there with No Matter What (Badfinger) or Couldn't I just Tell You (Todd Rundgren).

10 Christmas Isn't Safe For Animals --I have an unnatural distrust of advertising but I love knowing that i could put a washer/dryer for only $225 each on my Sears card.

    11 Lysergic Bliss

    12 Climb The Lader

13 I Was a Landscape In Your Dream

14 Art Snob Solutions --I just really like the shout-out to The Mascara Snake! i wonder how much Captain Beefheart Kevin has listened to.

    15 No Conclusion

    16 Wicked Wisdom

17 Women's Studies Victims --The first 45 sec. are my favorite part. i like the, "Chinese Stars, Chinese Stars...." part also.

    18 Plastis Wafers

19 Enemy Gene --Does anybody have a high-quality rip of KB's youtube piano only performance?

i think i will make both a old and new best of list

    old:
    1. hopeless opus
    2. death dance
    3. penelope
    4. advice from a divorced gentleman to his bachelor friend
    5. baby
    6. kid without claws
    7. peacock parasols
    8. you are an aeroplane
    9. my what a strange day with a swede
    10. ira's brief life as a spider
    11. Dustin Hoffman offers lame possible explanation for missing bathtub
    12. jennifer louise
    13. dirty Dustin Hoffman needs a bath
    14. don't ask me to explain
    15. on the drive home (demo)
    16. introduction for isabelle (demo)
    17. honeymoon in san fransisco
    18. nicki lighthouse
    19. little viola hidden in the orchestra
    20. doing nothing

the first 5 or so are in order but the rest are just sort of in random order but these are my top 20 songs. i'm sure there are others that could replace some of these but i just love so many songs. for some reason doing new songs is actually harder.

    1. the past.
    2. kongisvngr
    3. plastis wafer
    4. so begins our alabee
    5. the party's crashing us
    6. l'age d'or
    7. oslo in the summertime
    8. mingusings
    9. my british tour diary
    10. no conclusion
    11. mingusings
    12. microuniversity
    13. georgie's lament
    14. fabrege falls for shuggie
    15. she's a regector
    16. rapture rapes the muses
    17. famine affair
    18. we were born with the mutants again with leafling
    19. gronlandic edit
    20. for our riotous defects

and this one was extremely difficult because i tend to listen to the whole abum rather then listening to individual songs especially with skeletal lamping. i'l probably end up changing it many times before i find my true top 20. i don't know why i'm getting to involved with making this list. i just love almost every song.
i want you on the kitchen table, public bathroom. on the dirty floor.

Esp. since the studio version sounds so empty compared to the super punchy version they played in Europe in 2007.

I don't think that I can do this because I'd end up with 100 songs, but I'm pretty sure that My Favorite Boxer would be in the top 20. I guess that I'm alone.
    I was like, "oh"
