Fair enough, buddy. and maybe I'm throwing the word "hate" around too loosely. but really, without giving the album multiple listens, it won't have a hope in hell...

Without getting too off topic: I didn't care for Congratulations and despite having listened to pretty much everything Animal Collective has put out, they still don't "click" with me. I just find them kinda boring. I actually think we see eye to eye on a lot of things.
Just curious, any bands you would say you absolutely hate with a passion? Like it pains you to hear their music?

I don't know if I truly hate any music. Scene-core and Metal-core stuff really aggravates and annoys me, but I don't think I really hate it though.

I'd have to think about it...

I enjoy the mixing but can see how it would put off some people. As for the poster knocking Friddmans recent work, MGMTs first album is mixed great.

So I gave these guys one listen a couple years ago and I guess stored it in the "didn't care too much for it" section of my brain.
Someone just recommended them to me and the first impression I got was: This is the Beatles and Pink Floyd on steroids.

It feels really overwhelming, but maybe it will grow on me?
