halfway through kiss of the spider woman by manuel puig right now - fucking love it. defs in the same league as borges and cortazar.

i've also started gravity's rainbow, and it's already bizarre and brilliant. i'm going to plunge into it in earnest later in the summer when i'll have endless hours to spend on pynchon's madness.

Cool! I think I'll add this one to my reading list since I seem to keep running across the name. I remember reading an article which compared it with Silko's Ceremony while I was researching a paper.

I am behind the times on this. But I just finished Slaughterhouse Five and it was damn good. I want to re-read it.
I just started Homage to Catalonia as well, so its an interesting side-by-side thing.

The best new and used book site I know of is http://www.abebooks.com/. And I'm not just saying that because I started it.

    Paper, ebooks hurt my eyes.

Also I just finished reading The Death of Cool by Gavin McInnes.
I envision a utopian society where everyone shuts their lips, does the Helen Keller and talks with their hips.
