I'm so glad for this catchall thread.

    1. That is the weirdest Top 20. First of all, it ignores basically everything before Sunlandic Twins. Then it chose my LEAST favorite songs from certain albums (Coquet, Coquette; Bassem Sabry) and some throwaway OK songs (Sex Karma, It's Different for Girls) but includes the greats from Hissing Fauna. And when all is said and done, I think Gronlandic Edit might be my favorite song of the "new" era. And I have a fanatic devotion to The Party's Crashing Us.

    2. The vinyl of Hissing Fauna arrived last week, but I only opened it today. I plan to listen tomorrow. I doubt it will sound different, but I'm excited about the yellow and red vinyl anyway.

    3. oM are coming to Boston while I'm in California.

    4. My son and his girlfriend of 6.5 years got married on my birthday two weeks ago. I generally hate weddings, but theirs was pretty magical. The best man's speech ended with, "May you always be gentle, never go mental" and the last song played by the DJ was Wraith Pinned to the Mist. Yeah. It was my best birthday ever.
    I was like, "oh"

Just listened to Family Nouveau,,,kinda sad knowing how the story ends. Like Ashoka's is kind of the epilogue to it, huh?
