The Music Tapes Caroling Tour

Christmas is without a doubt Julian Koster’s favorite holiday, or at least the favorite holiday for the Music Tapes, that collection of saws which sing sometimes when asked politely. After all, Julian and the saws have just released The Singing Saws at Christmastime, a collection of holiday instrumentals on Merge Records. Tiny Mix Tapes has announced that The Music Tapes will be going on a Christmas caroling tour throughout November and December, in which they will move from house to house for three hours in each city of the tour. In order to witness the caroling, you need to either invite the saws to your home, or find a home in your city that’s on the list. as i was typing up my invite.. i realized that they'll be here the day after thanksgiving. a day usually spent three hours north of madison with my family. ::whimper whimper::

i think i'm going to cut thanksgiving a little short. or maybe i'll just come back for music tapes and then go back up north. damn. it would be worth it.

Actually I normally wouldn't be in Madison the day after Thanksgiving, but this year it looks like I will because we'll be having Thanksgiving dinner with my (local) in-laws for once.
