that is the best end of the decade list i have seen.
He's mentioned Manu Chao before right? I've never listened to them, but I recognize the name and I feel like it was through him. Didn't he post them on Tumblr or something? And I had no idea about Passion Pit, but it doesn't surprise me, it's always nice when something I like likes something else I like.
I was just saying Manu Chao because he's French and I'm always amazed to see some of my compadres mentioned somewhere.Do you know that he's studying to become a chiropractor?
I'd say there's about a third of the bands he mentions that I didn't even know existed, so I can't really say it's the best list ever. Obviously the best list would be my list. I can't disagree with me. I guess my future self is always going to disagree with my right-now self, though... I need to think of a list, just so in ten years' time I can realize how full of shit I was.![]()

Yeah this list is much better than the one he made for 2008...I guess that's natural since it's a whole decade of music to choose from. Even though he just put Beyonce on that list to kiss her shallow ass.
Oh btw Player 1 I clicked on your sig one day a few weeks ago and watched some random vid of yours and it was hilarious, even more so in the context of reading all your posts on here...and of course the horse poster![]()
As far as I'm concerned, Alicia Keys actually writes decent lyrics and music (even though I don't consider it very original either) instead of just shaking her ass and "singing" the same words over and over again about being crazy in love with Jay-Z or how single ladies are after rings. But like Gin and Jews pointed out in the other thread about the collab with Beyonce, pop music shouldn't be judged by whether or not it has good lyrics, so why don't we just stick some Shakira or Britney up there too?
I've heard very serious and reliable people profess their love for Britney...
I don't know how to judge pop music. I don't even know how to define pop music... I'd say lyrics are important, but then what about songs in a language you don't understand?
As for repeating the same things over and over, it's pretty much the key to people's minds. Kind of crass, but effective...
That's actually a good idea. I have a list of my all time favorite bands that I update fairly frequently. But I never save the old version, I just keep updating it. I really ought to start saving every version so I can look back. I love creating imprints of myself that I can go back and compare to.
Haha, thanks. I put that in my signature so long ago I forget that I even provided that link...
I've gotten quite a few comments about my "trippy horse poster". Other than people that know me through oM, I don't think anyone has known what it is.
Manu Chao? Only the best Spanish/French musician evvarrrr... he's tits, mangggg..
Seriously though, it's kinda pathetic how happy I am that KB likes his music.
eta: (mostly for player1, also for my own enjoyment)
