a good band is easy to kill. i wish i never saw this. looks like their bassist is 12 years old.

I can't believe nobody talks about (I brought it up once on a thread about the movie and no one really replied to it) the scene where Miles pretty much disses the E6 scene and talks about how Beulah progressed musically and certain other bands did not. Certainly some people would be offended by that or at least find it worthy of discussion. Anyone?

I didn't know this Dvd existed, and I don't understand what's wrong with this particular excerpt..?

Yeah... talk about taking one of my favorite bands of all time and just making me think... DAMN... this guy is an ASSHOLE... I wonder if Miles WANTED to come off this way, or if the documentary maker just said... wow, I should portray this guy the way he is... There is such a huge disconnect between his attitude and the sweetness of their music.

I think you guys are being unfair to Miles. He is a very talkative guy, but i think he should be judged more on his actions and not his words. Throughout the DVD Miles and the band were very cool to all their fans; like that scene where they invited those kids to the soundcheck cause they weren't 18 to get into the show.
I also think that the live performance material by itself makes the DVD worth getting.

I remember seeing a clip on a Paste DVD, but I never got around to seeing the whole thing.

From what I agthered from his onstage persona, his music is miles ahead of his personality. He made me cringe in NY on the Yoko tour. He actually used the phrase "sucks shit" in his between song banter.

For the record, I never judged Miles or called him an asshole or anything. People can be assholes. I give him props for not presenting a more likeable (and fake) persona for the camera.
I just thought his comment about the collective was worthy of discussion. I wasn't taking sides or anything.. I'm just surprised no one HAS EVEN NOW acknowledged that that rant was on the dvd.
Discuss.
p.s. As a Dylan fan, I thought the bit during the opening credits was hilarious.
"Fuck Bob Dylan!"

they did kinda step out of the whole 60s thing, so, as that seems to be where most e6 bands are heading, i guess they did progress faster than the others.

progress faster or just differently?? I've seen the DVD but I don't remember him referencing E6. Then again it was a while ago.
