The new album is called "gerald bronson" named after the mustache style Gerald Bronson. It was recorded by Ian McChord, who also recorded Crusp Srexstling. Ian did a good job on the first album and an even better job on this one. He also will be playing guitar w/us on our tour w/ elf Power in April. It's gonna be a relly relly good time, let me tell yuh. "GB" was released on We Got the Beets/Shake Records which is our own label. It is available on this site, or come out to show, tour dates also listed here. See you soon-d.

I heard some songs from Zumm Zumm, and I hated it, I think they suck, sorry if I offended anyone.

I enjoyed it when they opened for elf power. We bought an EP or something, but unfortunately I haven't gotten around to listening to it yet.
But.. they were a lot of fun live!

You're not alone. Sorry, to offend anyone too, but I'm a hater. Saw 'em live when they opened for Elf Power, they sucked hard. Shitty freak-out punk rock. I'm not sure if they or anyone is familiar with Sebadoh's earlier work, particulaly Eric Gaffney-era Sebadoh (which isn't the best), but that's what they reminded me of. Really lo-fi loud rock. Nothing interesting or original.
Their dancers were smelly too.:o The dancer thing was ok at first, but really bugged me and the rest of the audience after about 5 minuites. the only funny/interesting part was when my brother pointed out to me that one of the dancers, who was wearing a skirt and a tutu, was not wearing underwear. I felt really embarassed for her, because several people noticed.

There just seem to be a hundred bands doing the freak out punk they do. I saw a hundred bands in college doing that stuff and am still seeing it today. There music just was original. It wasn't even retro, it was just bad and sloppy. Lo-fi is one thing, but just plain bad is another.
I will give it to them about their dancers; it was cool at first. But I mean, do they have to dance the same way on everysong. I did think it was cool when they entered the audience. Very confrontational....if that was their purpose. It seemed to alienate the crowd though. A few drunks got into it, but that's it. Hardly anyone came within 5-10 feet of the stage hardly. What was really annoying was when they continued to dance through EP's set. It was just very distracting.
This isn't just one man's absent-minded opinion; no, many have said this. I talked to a few people after the show and all of them have mentioned this.

i read this and felt bad that the nice member(?) of the band in question (whose music i have not heard and thus cannot attest to the quality of) came on, helped everybody and then, well, got shouted off.
Plant some sunflowers, guys; increase (as they don't say) the peace (i'm a rhyming fool) and i am now going to fabricate being a fan.
I love them (i don't know yet, so it's a lie)
But i'm willing to try them and hear them on my own merits (truth)
Who else is with me on this? Probably nobody, because you've heard them and decided you don't like them. Which is cool. My guess is, they're all really nice people.

I saw them with Elf Power in Chapel Hill, where I guess they were dancer-less, as I didn't see any, unless they (dancers) were either very small or trying to blend in with the rest of the crowd. Which would have made them standers and not dancers. Anyway, I must not have a problem with unoriginal freakshit punk because I kind of enjoyed their show. Sometimes loud is terrific and I thought they did loud pretty well.

oops, some people aren't as insecure as you. are you worried someone might see your pee-pee when you're dancing? do you even dance? or are you too busy scratching your chin, thinking "hm, they're just trying to sound like daniel johnson - slash - flaming lips' clouds taste metalic era production..."

Totally not my intent to offend anyone. I'm not sure how to respond... The only person being "indier-than-thou" is you right now. I actually enjoyed myself at the show and Ep conquered in my opnion. They made a fan out of me. Who cares if I like a band or not? It's silly. Make up your own fucking mind, but you don't have to trash my opinion.
You act like you're their grandmother or something. Get over it. You're waisting your time and energy. I hope you feel better, cause I do.

testy testy. you either get it or you don't. if you get it, great! if you don't even better. Not everyone is as pink as you. This is directed at no one particular and not meant for sensiabilitieees.....
"one of the dancers, who was wearing a skirt and a tutu, was not wearing underwear. I felt really embarassed for her"
this quote is funny becos' most people tip dancers who aren't wearing underwear.
the show in toronto with Tobin Sprout was real funny. Zummzumm denied by clear channel, classic punkrockdom..

One of my co-workers knows Theo from the band and apparently toured with them at some point or something. I think they're pretty good, though I'm not sure how interested I would be were it not for the orange twin connection.
