View Full Version : tape op
As I recall, someone was recently asking about for the OTC article in Tape Op. I found mine a few days ago. It's pretty long- is there anything specific you wanted to know?

i've got it also, i'd be willing to type it out.
pretty confusing, they told the guy to cut up all the tape from their interview and splice it back together in random order. so the interview makes ne sense at all.

I made the original request. Thanks for responding! I've been frustrated with the lack of Olivia interviews on the web. That would be amazing if someone could type it up, but if it's too big a task don't worry about it.
I'd also be interested to hear anyone's recording ideas (especially for getting a good drum sound).

I'm on more of a budget. I've been using 2 Marshall 603s as overheads, a 57 on the kick, and a 57 on the snare, and going through a Behringer mixer.
I've been expirementing with miking the bottom of the snare drum (hi hats are too damn loud!) It's cool but I've been getting a lot of noise from the snare beads. I'm not a drummer, so that's definitely part of the problem ...
