Very nice Jeff!!!

"Always on the Telephone," sounds like a piece of newage Americana (if that makes any sense at all.) I like it quite a bit, and am excited for this new album. I wish that they weren't taking their tour to both extremes, and found some time (perhaps money as well) for the middle ground. I mean Ladybug/Clientele!!?!??!! That would be a fantastic show.

I'm really excited about this. Hear Comes the Rain was wonderful, so I can't imagine this will be anywhere beneath it in quality.

Sounds great! It's impossible to dislike those Ladybugs. Hopefully a new scandinavian tour later this year.

Some Midwest dates would have been nice! Though I get to see The Clientele in a month anyway. But Ladybug and The Papercuts...I wouldn't miss that for the world...you lucky San Francisco people.

I snoozed through their last album, but the inclusion of Kevin Barker is very interesting. I might check this one out.

their last album initially bored me to tears, but it finally hit me after a long break. it's actually been in my car stereo for the last 3 days. you should give it another shot sometime.

i'm extremely excited for this new album.

Because it's you, and you posted so lucidly on the school shooting thread - and I've always valued your opinion - I will do just that.

well, for the sake of my reputation i hope you enjoy it. even if you still don't like the whole album, at least you'll get to hear those two sasha bell songs. "the places you'll call home" has to be one of her best.

Agreed, that's my favorite Sasha song.

I'm so excited for the new album (I loved the ep!) and I'm super duper excited about seeing them at bottom of the hill, although I wish it was 21 and over. I've been waiting for sooo long to see them live, ever since seeing the clips on their website of them playing on that Spanish show, they sounded amazing. little did I know it what take soo long to actually see them

*flashback*

I was in Amsterdam a few years back when they must have been touring for the last self-titled. It was crazy circumstances that I happened to be there the same time as them and so I was really excited about seeing them, the only problem I was really sick. Still, I made it my mission to see them, so my girlfriend (who was also really sick) and I both ventured out in the completely alien city searching for the paradiso. We must have spent 3 hours searching for the old churchly looking building but when we finally found it it was completely devoid of any signs of life (the show was later than night). I should note that we were scouting the area out the day of the show so as to avoid the confusion of getting lost when actually going to the show. Anyway, we found someone who said to go a ticket office adjacent to the venue to get info and tickets, when we got there we actually had to first buy memberships to even get tickets to the show, so we bought our memberships and we bought our tickets and dragged our fatigued and sick bodies back the train and to out hotel in order to get some much needed sleep for the night ahead, little did we know it would not be that simple
We took the train in the wrong direction and when we finally realized it it was too late to get off. We ended up at the end of the line in some weird Amsterdam suburb thoroughly freaked out, tired, jet lagged, and confused (and kind of hung over from our massive marijuana consumption. oddly enough we could not find any kind of over the counter cold and flu medicine so we just medicated ourselves with weed...not good) When we finally got back to our hotel we literally collapsed in our bed and when we awoke it was the next morning...we missed the show...slept from 5pm to 10am. I was pretty disappointed

flash forward to two years ago, Gary is playing a few solo shows with Jens lekman that are 21 and over...sadly, I'm 20 at the time.

finally!! I am 22 and now they are playing in SF again, I just wish it was 21 and over so all those minors can feel my scorn!!

so yeah ladybug transistor rock!!!

a burial at sea and song for the ending day are epic.

Me too, the only song that I really enjoyed was Splendor in the Grass, which if I'm not mistaken, was a cover song.

Still, I really love their prior efforts
