What kind of questions would you ask Kevin or anyone in the band in an interview setting if you were doing one?

when's the new one coming out?

and possibly:

when are you coming to toronto?

Haha, when I met Kevin I totally nerded out and was telling him about some ice cream syrup I had just purchased, and I couldn't think of the word for syrup.

If I were to talk to him intelligently, I'd ask him some of the following questions...

What inspires your lyrics and how do go about writing them?

The sounds created on of Montreal records can be extremely different from the sounds that can be created live. Would you like to have live shows sound just like the album or would you be happy having the live sound and the studio sound exist as two seperate entities?

And I might ask him what his favourite __(Fill in the blank)__ is.

Example: What's your favourite Kinks album?

For the record, my favourite is Something Else.

I think I read somewhere that Kevin's favorite Kink's album is the village green preservation society, and yes I am a big big nerd

hate to stick to the picky little topic, but although Village Green Preservation Society is top notch, and was the album that got me into the Kinks, I'd say Arthur, especially the reissue with all the awesome b-sides, is the better album.

Find one song from the former which could compare to Brainwashed from the latter. That song rocks for weeeeeeks.

my favorite is "village green" with "face to face" and "something else" tied for second. "arthur" is my number three.

YES!!! I'll also add that the "BBC Sessions" two disc set that came out awhile back is great stuff as well. God Save the Kinks!
