I'm kind of new to this community and I was wondering what everyones talking about. Is Jeff missing or something. Im not really tuned in on the gossip here so if you could help me out it'd be appreciated...(Y)

Not so much that he's missing as everyone wants to know what he's up to. He allegedly has no plans to reform NMH or do any NMH-esque records (he's more into strange field recordings now), so any time there's a tidbit about him or something he's involved with or a vague rumor about what he ate for breakfast, someone posts it.

i know this is old news, just thought i'd verify it.

earlier this evening i went to see the apples in stereo. i stalked robert schneider around the club for awhile, and asked him a few questions about his studio, geeky recording questions, and, of course neutral milk hotel questions. i asked for secret information on neutral milk hotel, and he said that jeff is in a cabin in the middle of the woods in canada writing music for music therapy. when i asked if neutral milk hotel was done forever, like, if they'd never release an album again, he said "nope, they're certainly not done, and by they, i mean we".

i was aiming for a little more elaboration, but they had to go on right at that moment, and i didnt really get another chance to talk to him after the show.

robert schneider's a total homie, by the way. like the nicest guy i've ever met, i couldnt believe it.

I also agree that this web community becomes a bit of a obsession. I'm always checking it and posting things-it's all so much fun though.

oh yeah. when i saw the apples in january, i got to hang out with him for the longest. i told him about my wife being pregnant, and he was so excited and supportive for me. and we talked for a really long time about alotta stuff. he - along with the other band members - even posed for a picture with me. it was so cool http://www.philharwell.com/images/philapples.jpg

the others in the band are also super-friendly too. i loved getting to hang out with one of my all-time favorite bands, and getting to become friends too.

p.s. i'm eventually going to get all my apples pics posted (on their board, and probably on my website too). check 'em out.

Yeah, this freaked me out for a second. I thought someone else had posted with my username, then I realized it was me from 2003. But in a way, I guess that was someone else.

Heh heh, I always have a bit of a jolt when Tulip Baroo posts because I use that name on another forum, and I see it and think 'what? I don't remember writing that!' Too many forums, too many names for me! :D
