has anybody paid david barnes for a personalized portrait, and never received it?
i gave him money for two of them over a year ago on their cocquelicot tour, and have still never received them. i've even e-mailed with queries and changes of address.
it's a sad story. it's not the money that i mourn over, it's the idea that i'll never have the portraits.
what gives?

If i were you I would e-mail someone in the band and let them know what happened, because David has a really hard time remembering to check his e-mails.

I just want to say that I ordered a portrait as a gift for my brother a while back and I was very pleased with all. The painting was incredible, it arrived real fast and the email correspondence with Mr Barnes was hilarious. I remember that he didn’t answer his mail for a few days, but when he answered he said he had been out of town for a while spending time with seals and learning them how to sunbath or something like that… Maybe he’s still involved with that stuff? I hope you get your portraits real soon rachael!

dear racheal,
please contact me, i think there has been a big mistake made on my part. and on the parts of the gods. when my friend contacted me about this post i was very shocked and confused and thinking it was some wierd fake out but having read your message i think i understand what happened and would love to discuss it with you. it involves a tale of two moves,three cities, lost love, and misplaced things.
i've always taken pride in the personal nature of these portaits, i feel dirty and unwashed that that has been tarnished. please email me at thebeewithwheels@hotmail.com
