It's quite surreal. One always hears about people's places burning down but we dismiss the thought that it could or would ever happen to us. And then...it does.

I hope things are alright. Please let us know how we can help.

all the offers to help are very nice. it's just stuff though. i will get new stuff. i was just so shocked, i mean, i know it sounds cliche, but you never ever think this kinda stuff can happen you. not that i'm alone here, it's over 2,600 houses lost now in these fires. blows my mind. california is in a bad way lately.
at least we've got music, no?

thats the spirit an-e! you've always got music... AND everyone in OM land who do very much care. did you have any warning? time to gather up everything important? where are you staying? it sounds like everyone is being super-hospitable to people in your situation.

keep us posted! i really can't imagine what that would be like.

What is really sad is that someone started one of those fires on purpose!!!! What are people thinking? Why would you want to do that? I just don't understand.... :(

That sucks. Hope you didn't lose all your mementos of your dad.
