View Full Version : Does anyone else hear how the 2 Hissing Fauna songs on the myspace page are slightly different then the leak?

They definitely are. For one, Heimdalsgate seems to have a longer intro. In Suffer For Fashion you can hear the last chord in the song, unlike the link which flows right into the next song.

(I found this cool.)
 ;)

Anyone else notice any other differences?

They said that they would swtich things up a bit since it leaked so early. I dunno if they did, but I guess that would make sense.

I think I might just be crazy. I think these versions of the songs simply don't loop into each other because they're presented here as singles

A cd has to be finalized a certain way for one song to meld into the next, leading me to believe that the leak was not mastered completely yet. This is good news. I love the album, but the low end is none existent. Put some thumping in there, and polish off some thigns and this album will be real good.

i wish 'sink the seine' was a longer song

sink the seine is definately tantalizingly brief, but i like it that way. would be cool to extend it live though. when i imagine the tracklisting for hissing fauna i put that one first. it reminds me a little bit of the first song on stereolab's 'sound dust' album.

the myspace versions are indeed 'single versions.'

Hey BP, was I right about the mastering? Cause there doesnt seem to be much low end overall on the cd!

you just have MP3's.
what was leaked was mastered i think.

i've got plenty of low end on my copy.

The past is a groteque... animal!

That song is epic. Can't wait to get my hands on this album

I find Donnie and Marie far more disturbing, in all honesty.
