If his name was Klarn Hipzook, and you happened to lend out a book to another Klarn Hipzook..I mean that would be noteworthy. But Barnes is rather common...and I'm pretty sure I met a Kevin before...I think.

Klarn Hipzook? You mean the Hackensack kid who was later known as Jimmy the noodle?

No, the Scunthorpian radio evangelical who was convicted for rinsing monkies with Pledge.

How many of us townhallers have, at one point in our lives, worked at a library?

It seems like an awful lot. I'm among them.

hey all you library people, send me good job vibes, 'cause I just applied for 2 positions at SDSU. Please let them still be open! Then I'll ask again when I actually have an interview...

I would love to work in a library, I just had an interview for a bookshop so thats pretty close (not that I'll get it). Good luck with the job i.am.superman, heck if there's 2 positions there maybe I can have one? (bit of a commute though... ;) )

I would LOVE to have you as a co-worker, Figgly. The most fun part about working in libraries is the eccentrics you get to work beside.

Operahouse, we tacitly acknowledge your contribution.

"The eccentrics I got to work beside":

Proportionally large woman who wore her hair like a four year old, wore only ugly wrap dresses, blinked very rarely when she was speaking to you, and was made fun of even by her own coworkers, in charge of the reference section.

Intimidating boss with dated hair who dressed in loose shell-sets and just couldn't get that stick out of her ass.

County college slacker who never did anything productive and spent most of his time making pot deals over the library phone line, but was kept around by the all-female adult library staff because they probably thought he was attractive.

Not that charming.

They're probably going to find this (I used to go on the board at work). Whatever. They can't fire me twice.
