I second that, a recording would be great. Also, who's up for A Hawk and a Hacksaw fanfare compilation? There are already more cover albums of Neutral Milk Hotel than there are "official" Neutral Milk Hotel albums, so how about giving A Hawk and a Hacksaw a try?

Note: I am quite sure this will never happen.

That would be differcult with the kind of music a hawk and a hacksaw play... but maybe ^__^

It's better than the way it is in Australia. We're legal to drink and to drive at the same age = 18. This makes for alot of 18 year old's being dead in car crashes.

Yeah I know. i think it's funny.

I turned 18 in May, and here (Australia), I am now legal for everything (voting, drinking, shows etc.) whatever.

only the really silly people, since the legal limit is a zero BAC when you're on your Probationary licence.

Isn't the legal limit higher in US as well?

AHAAH kicked arse in Chicago. The rest of Bablicon was there, too (not performing, unfortunately.) Earlier that week a Bablicon MySpace popped up. Maybe they will become active again? With a new Icy Demons coming out, methinks not, but one can hope.

I was at the show last night too, and I must say, I was very impressed with the whole lot. Fun, captivating performance. I think I was one of the only people bobbing around.

Did you record the whole show, or just Hawk and a Hacksaw? I'd really love to get a copy of all of it!

Is Where the Wind Blows out yet? I tried to order it the other day, but they said it got pushed back to the 16th, and I haven't gotten a call from the guys I ordered it from.

I tried to get it before the show, too, and my local record store said it had been pushed back. I told Heather about it at the show and she didn't know anything about it getting pushed back. Make sure you get it, though, because it's gooooood.

saw them in LA last night.... amazing. they produce a ridiculous amount of sound for just two people. and i don't want to sound like a crazed fan boy, (which i am), but meeting jeremy and buying his record straight from him was super awesome.

while i came for the opening act of AHAAH, the headliners beirut... that was so incredible. a bunch of kids just running around picking up instruments and having a great time. they later jumped down into the crowd and played a great drinking song in the middle of everybody. people picked up zack and kind of crowd-surfed him as he played his trumpet and sang and stuff. they're all so young but great musicians. wow wow wow.

sorry for rambling on, i'm just super excited. it was one of the best shows i've ever been to... it might even have slipped into the #1 slot. if you have a chance to see this one, don't even think about not going. GO! wee!

yay! I was there last night also, it was a superb show

a hawk and a hacksaw were very enjoyable as I too, went to the show for them. It's a shame I didn't bring my recorder

beirut was really good, though being in the front my boyfriend was a bit bothered by the giant tambourine being played in his face.

nonethless, it was very entertaining and the music was lovely!

hmm...no, I don't think so.

It was still a great show! :D

were you there for animal hospital?

tralala

yeah he did sing portland town in LA... kind of an intense song, he did it mostly solo. yeah that blonde kid with the giant tambourine was pretty energetic... borderline obnoxious.... but i gave him a solid high five after the show when i saw him because he didn't quite cross that line and damn it, he deserved a high five.

... oh and i didn't get there for animal hospital... i had unfortunate directions and almost died in LA traffic, so i got there right as ahaah was starting up. lucky me!
