hello:
like many of you, i'm addicted to buying records and require a constant stream of cash in order to pacify that addiction. in true addict fashion, i've now taken to selling things i don't particularly need to be rid of in order to support myself. here are some cds i'm selling:

blur - modern life is rubbish
bright eyes - lifted
cibo matto - viva la women
cornershop - when i was born for the 7th time
decemberists - picaresque
el-p - fantastic damage
fiery furnaces - ep
fiery furnaces - blueberry boat
franz ferdinand - s/t
franz ferdinand - you could have it so much better
happy mondays - pills, thrills, n bellyaches
iron & wine - woman king
maximo park - a certain trigger (with bonus live disc)
the natural history - beat beat heartbeat
murs - 9th wonder
oasis - definitely maybe
primal scream - screamadelica
psychedelic furs - all this and nothing
social distortion - white light white heat white trash
stereo lab - emperor tomato ketchup
sufjan stevens - michigan
the stone roses - s/t
sunny day real estate - diary
weezer - maladroit
zwan - zwan

$6.50 each, less if you buy more than one.

also, there's a cut-out bin with a bunch of random old crap if you're interested in that. i'll sell them for really cheap...

i'm obsessive when it comes to my cds, so each cd is in immaculate condition (or as close as humanly possible). if you're interested, u2u me or email me at spiritualdishwasher [AT] gmail.com. i will accept cash and paypal.

i may sell more than this. ask me if you want anything specific. i have a lot of the indie releases of the day, some of which i'm a little reluctant to part with, but it's always worth a try...

I'd only be interested in Ladies and Gentleman, We Are Floating in Space or 69 Love Songs, but I'm a bit strapped for cash, and $6.50's not the best of prices. :(

I can't believe you are selling that Yo La Tengo album. Are you mental?

6.50 is a good price, are you kidding patman?

I'll only buy something online from someone I don't know if the price is fantastic. $6.50 is not significantly cheaper than any record store's used prices, and $23 isn't a great price for 69 Love Songs, when I can get it new for $30.

these are practically new cds, i can take pictures if you want. the jewel cases and packaging are in much better condition than any used album you'll find in a record store. 69 love songs has only been played once, when i uploaded it to my computer. i think its sold on amazon for 36 dollars, i'm selling it for a 1/3 off that price...

the built to spill comment indicates that he's selling because he doesn't like them. i also bought weezer maladroit when it came out. i'd be willing to give it away for free if anyone is willing to pay the postage from norway ;)

Haha, I think it's hilarious that you bought the second Franz Ferdinand album.

why...it's got some good songs on it. there's plenty of albums on there that are worse than it and besides, indie snob is so 1990s...

do these prices include postage?

if so, could you keep Woman King on hold for me? I'm moving into college soon and don't know my address yet :(

yep. i'll keep it on hold for you.

man, that's a good deal...too bad i have just about all of those titles.

and $6.50 ain't too bad for some of those titles ie. spoon - girls can tell, stone roses and sufjan. you're probably going to pay more for those used anywhere else.

I'd take BTS, BSS and yo la tengo if you still gots 'em. Perhaps even some others. I also have an unsatiable need to buy music. Somebody, please stop me.

69 love songs is a little too "NPR" for my tastes. i like the songs merritt and claudia sing for the most part, but the other guy is way too fey. i love "holiday" and think he should've stuck to that formula, but i guess you have to "grow as an artist." the whole thing is a bit of a mess in my opinion.

as for ff...i guess it's a little indefensible, but i really did like about 70% of the debut. the second one is lame and sounds like they were trying to "force the fun," but there's a few good ones on there.

Ok, I Bought some stuff from >l< and I most comment on how immaculate the condition of the CDs where. They only way to tell they weren't brand new was the fact that there was no cellophane or shrink wrap to take off. I find that task annoying anyway, so in my opinion, the CDs are better than brand new.

>l< maintained a nice flow of communication and shipping time was reasonable. Ultimately I vouch for future purchase with him.

Take Care,

DRG

i hate when people come down on you for selling things they still like, what difference does it make to you?.... i did the same thing in my town and many friends of mine would see stuff i've sold and actually lecture me about how dumb it was to sell it! if you like it so good, then you buy it. and like "mr. symbol" here, the stuff i sold was what i would consider "pedestrian" indie stuff of little importence to me. after you hear some of the mind blowing releases that i've seen "mr symbol" list as current listens, yo la tengo, the decemberists, or magnetic fields just don't quite do it for you anymore.

The Decemberists or Magnetic Fields, fine. I can't understand putting YLT in there though. They are a far more talented and respected band than the others and have been so for a much longer time. But that's just my opinion. ;)

i'm just kidding there....no offense....

and you're right yo la tengo didn't deserve to be put in there...mainly i was just baiting half handed with the whole thing....my girlfriend listens to those bands all the time...take what i say with a grain of salt.

I don't like Ocean Colour Scene, Blur or Oasis. Or patronising wankers.

I like all Blur!
I like Ocean Colour Scene but after One From The Modern they have been pretty bad!
I like the first two Oasis albums but they are, as one from Britland might put it, wankers!

Originally posted by Half-HandedI don't get it with YLT either, they bore me to tears. But it takes all sorts and I know they have lots of admirers in these circles.

I love YLT. I would say they're one of my top 5 fav bands ever. On the other hand Magnetic Fields do nothing for me. I guess everyone listens to music just a little differently. ;)

I find Yo LA Tengo rather trite, for the most part, but they do have moments.

on the syd barrett and pink floyd biography there's a couple of extra clips of syd fans performing his songs (of course robyn hitchcock does two!) and graham coxon (sp?) from blur does love you from the madcap laughs and it's probably the best blur related thing i've heard (which to be honest isn't a lot) and half handed, yes, thankfully i was referring to my lady friend listening to the decemberists, magnetic fields and, as of the late, the new sean lennon album (which isn't half bad honestly).
