the library.

I got 14 cds there today, including a bob dylan bootleg series, kill rock stars comp, massive attack and many others.

I love the library

My friend works at the library. it's an awesome source for all sorts of media, better than blockbuster for movies and the cd range is actually quite good. plus, the library is sort of famous for books. crazy, i know. not to mention it's a sweet job. he stocks books for like a half hour then reads/listens to music. i hate him.

yeah, I've always wanted to get a job at a library. i don't find it numbingly boring categorising things and organising etc.

The libraries near me haven't a music selection quite like that.

This is true. I work at one, and employees can usually take out new stuff before it gets on the shelves. Rhino comps galore. I even found Wipers stuff.

I know, it was totally unexpected. When they hire high schoolers, the librarians like to demean us with the sad job title of "page". It's just basic work: checking books out, preparing materials to go into circulation, shelving until your arms fall off.

But yes, the library. You'd be surprised at what they have.

i wanted to work at the library. is it easy to get that job? my mom did it in high school and apparently a raunchy gang of lesbians had a stranglehold on the shelving jobs...they used to grunt and hoot at her, but their leader made them lay off. i asked my mom if they were lipstick lesbians, but she made them sound like a biker/greaser clique, which cultivated an image of that freaky girl in "crybaby." my mom is weird tho.

my library is great for dvds (tons of criterions, good tv shows like freaks & geeks and arrested development). not so great for music, but miami in general isn't a great place for music (outside of latin music).

I work at the library. My boss shows me pictures of woman having sex with squids at work. They also tell me that we have child porn which is rather exciting to check out to peoples accounts you dont like. Ahhh...the library. How i miss it.

The library in my town is pretty neat. there's this part upstairs that showcases artwork, and I'm pretty sure they take on some local stuff (if it's not all local stuff) and you can buy it. I've always liked that part.
