..not that theres a lot to it. im pretty sure the guy selling this saaid it was some kind of primitive banjo but the more i mess around with it the more it feel like a strange percussion instrument. i cant decided which way its played so i just play it both ways. not that figuring out the proper way to play it would change that i would just kind of like to know.

you can go to the page and read what the guy said to it here: http: //cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&item=110011788811&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
oh and i think it would be nice to see other people's stuff that they are either proud of or what to show off or for any reason wanna post. anything involving the arts. or anything.
oh yeah, the timor has a turtle on it. :P
Wow, thanks for sharing, that looks super-cool. You've inspired me to have a look for some weird instruments on eBay the next time I have some cash. I did get a djembe last year, it's a African drum...couldn't afford bongos sadly. But then I was bringing someone their dinner in, and a kinfe fell off the plate and went right through the skin on the djembe. I should try and get it reskinned at some point.
I really want to get a ukulele, but I think the cheap ones generally sound like shit.

the white pick guard is ugly and not suppose to be there. the first thing i did when i got it was take it off. and this may seem like im just bragging which i am a little but im just curious to see whats going on with all you creative semi-like minded people. so dont make me beg. im kidding about the begging thing. i will not do it so dont ask. yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

I played with one of those once. I think it's played by squeezing the wood strips on each side of the string, thus increasing and decreasing the tension and changing the pitch. It really is more of a percusion thing.

yeah, bending the rods changes the pitch but its a little scary cus its doesnt seem like wood should bend like that.
i dont want it to break..
and it sounds like the cartoonish boing sound weve all heard back when cartoons werent acid trips. only the pitch is little deeper sounding.
