I have an ipod, but I have not named it. I don't think that I will either considering that it is broken. A small piece on the "board" inside the port for the USB wire snapped off or something. Unfortunately I noticed it after the fact 'cause it wouldn't take a charge. When I looked inside the slot just mentioned all the wires were bent. I thought it was ok, I bought an $80 warranty from BestBuy covering it for three years......so much for that. I took it in to them, they sent it to Apple, and Apple said, "$485 for parts and labor." They should have just said, "We don't feel like dealing with this problem, so we jacked up the price to fix it higher than the ipod is worth. Better luck with a new one."

Seriously, if that one part and labor was actual cost to Apple, ipods would be selling retail for like $4000. I guess my only hope is to try and straighten the wires myself and see if I can get it to receive an upload uncorrupted.

Now that I think about it, I think I will name my ipod "Bent Over."

my ipod broke. apparently the portable capability is only a hypothetical luxury, as mine broke after playing basketball with it every now and then and, after getting it fixed, broke again when i was riding my bike. i prefer not to talk about it anymore.
