Funny, half way through your post i decided I was going to ask you if Jeff was on tour with them, thinking he probably wasn't and you answered the question for me. Even without him though the music is so wonderful. I like what you said about the trance rhythmn, that is one of those tough things to capture live and it sounds so beautiful on the album. I am really quite envious of you.

Yeah, I really dig the Instruments. I hope they produce another album, one day.

I'm trying to find some Eastern European music similar to what appears on the album, especially in "The Carnival". That's one of the most gorgeous pieces of music I've ever heard. Unfortunately, I have little knowledge of world music. I'm not even sure of how true to traditional the European influence on the album. Not that it has to be strictly traditional. I might like the evolved and modern stuff more.

My wife is big into Gogol Bordello. They're not as relaxed as the Instruments, but the influence of Eastern Europe is also very prominent.

Anyone know more about this subject, and have something to suggest?
