View Full Version : Would someone describe Music Tapes-Nomad cd?
I don't own this cd yet. I don't like to pigeonhole the sound, but I can't find this online to listen to before purchasing.

A scratchy-sounding live radio broadcast from the 1930's recently recovered, describing a breakneck race by an unlikely hero and recounting the strange journey that took him there, set in a psychedelic fantasia but with imagery infused with psychological trauma, with childlike songs sung by a quivering voice pitched to match the singing saw that accompanies it.

I posted some Music Tapes MP3s (their first single) at Optical Atlas today, which should give you some idea of their sound.

sounds similar to major organ if that means anything.
I bought it last week. Love it? Hate it? Still listening.

It took me a couple listens on Nomad! It really baffled me back in 1999 when I first got it.
