First Syd Barrett, now Arthur Lee?!
This is deeply sad. Forever Changes is one of my very favorite albums.

Thats a real shame, I'm glad I got to see him play before he died, I really love Forever Changes.

Are we going to get these threads every time somebody dies?
Guess so, and you don't have to read them.

Love is one of those bands (and Forever Changes is one of those albums) that everybody tells me that I'm supposed to like (based on my musical taste) that I never could get into.
Of course, the above statement is not a comment on the man's passing, just his work.

Four Sail is my favorite. It's one of those "I know sort of objectively that Forever Changes is the masterpiece, but for some reason..."

i'd give $50.00 to see him die, that brain wilson presents smile thing was an abomination.

this is a deep and personal tragedy that affects both myself and others in ways we will never understand, mostly because of our profound and intimate connection to this man.

Calexico did an AMAZING cover of "Alone Again Or" yesterday at Lollapalooza. The trumpets were beautiful.

dood they always do a great cover of that song. at like every show. and on that one cd.
Oh, okay. I had never paid much attention to Calexico until I saw them on Saturday, but I really enjoyed their set overall.
a terrible cover of "alone again or" was playing while people boarded an airplane yesterday. THE REVOLUTION LIVES ON!
