I'm new here but I must say I really like all your witty replies to this question. This myth of the disappearing Jeff Mangum has long annoyed me; he appears on records, tours with friends, sells collaged guitars, releases field recordings, and gets thanked on the credits of movies about zany Lacanian philosophers. Just because there hasn't been a NMH record doesn't mean the guy's a hermit.
