okay, so this is my first post and i wanted to make it good, so here goes.

ahem, i do not know if this is true of anyone else on the board, but in the song he says:

don't we know what blank people are good for?

for some reason i always think about that line, because i don't know what blank people are good for, i'm not even sure what they mean by 'blank.' or perhaps it is just a saying i am unaware of, or it could be that i am looking into it far too much.

anyhow, i'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

but really since he phrases it like that, the simple answer could simply be "no, we don't"

I love this song... The lyrics are superb.. Blank people are everywhere and its so much more fun to be creative and energetic and to be an individual than to be a blank boring person going through the motions.

And blank people aren't happy... How could you be?

blank people are good for cutting into long pieces, fastening them together into rafts, and then stowing our drugs and pineapples on it, then swimming alongside b/c there's no room for us,

Funny, I always thought the line was "Now we know what blank people are good for."
I took that to mean that they are good for helping us realize that there is a lot of greatness inside of us, but sometimes it is hard to find until you see that person that has nothing good going on and leaves your life in a negative way that turns into a positive experience.
But I do need to make an appointment at the hearing specialist person. Hopefully they won't be blank or maybe that is just what I need a blank experience.

Blank people are empty inside, therefore it's easy for other people to fil them up with whatever they choose, i.e. blank people are extremely malleable, very easily influenced, bossed around...
That's what blank people are good for:
Being used as pawns.
