I recently did a 3d model of the Flying Victrola in Blender 3D and photoshopped a simple scene for it. Check it out and let me know what you think. Criticism welcomed!

I'm gonna do more with it later 'cause many of the details are lost in the small rendering. It's far from perfect. But I'm too busy right now.

Also if anyone's interested, I can send you the blender file if you want to tinker with it. Use your imagination and make it better!
Blender is open source. Check it out (http://blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.html)

That looks really nice!
Perhaps you could make the type stand out a bit more though. It doesn't stand out against the curtain the way the buildings on the bottom do.
(I'm still thoroughly impressed though!)

Cool. But the clip-arty cityscape and the colors make it look kind of cheesy. A B&W or duotone would suit it better, and fit into the tradition.

Yeah youre right. The type is meant to be dull to match the curtains. Its the buildings that I meant to color but don't have time. The buildings are mostly modelled but not mapped. I thought if I made them black they would resemble a silhoutted front row of a theater. I probably should just crop that portion out.
