Anyone know what instrument plays that carnivalesque melody in 'Ferris Wheel on Fire'? At first i thought keyboard/synthesizer, but it plays out of tune notes at times, which a piano can't do. My best guess is that it's some sort of feedback played by someone, but I don't think it's that either.

Any thoughts?

Seeing as there is a video of the song being played live, it is certaint that Julian is playing his moog synth for the song....

the moog synth is analog, which allows it to create tones outside of the ordinary piano temperament.

Ah, thanks. Didn't know there was a video, hence my confusion. Thanks for the analog explanation as well.

I've never seen a video of this song, where's it at?
