i once saw of montreal play at a frat party in philadelphia. it was a real cool night. they said it was their first time playing at a frat house. it was a few years ago when they were doing their "covers" mini-tour.

This is way too intentionally absurd to be real.

But it still gives me hope that maybe one day everyone will learn to respect and understand each other even if their image says not to... and the world will be like one gigantic Breakfast Club.

no chick would wild out to oM at a party, there's no sigma kappa alpha, and no one goes by the steveinator anymore.

I once put some Rufus Wainwright in at a frat-ish type party. It was quickly taken out and replaced with some Thursday or some shit....

so i puked in someone's shoe.

the first day on this one job i had two years ago, i was welcome to play a cd. i put on Rufus's "Poses" and within five minutes a customer said to my boss, "oh, this music is sooo dreary. why would you want to listen to such abysmal music.. ?" or something to that effect. i never played a cd again.. well, i played one a few months later... but it was too much hassle to try to play something to please the friggin customers... rich white b****es. all they could handle was classic 60s, 70s.. which i like, but i also like variety.
