Hello,

Just wanted to say last night's show was mindblowingly awesome! I recorded The Late B.P. Helium and Of Montreal! I will be seeding a torrent soon, but I need a little help with a couple songs. One song is definitely new, he says, but no title. In the chorus it says "but not like that" and "together... let's go together..." Sound familiar to anyone ?

Also there are a few songs I dont seem to recognize from anywhere, and I am pretty sure I have nearly everything they've done, so I'm guessing they are covers. Anyone knows some common covers they do live?

Ill post here when I'm ready to seed this awesome show (they went form Lysergic Bliss to a cover of The Final Countdown (Europe) and then into Requiem for O.M.M.2 (crazy stuff).

Thanks,
breathmint

OK,

It's all ready to go !! The sound came out fantastic, better than the Atlanta show (without which, by the way, I would have a had a much harder time tracking this one). I also recorded The Late. B.P. Helium, but I'll probably wait until next weekend to FLAC that one up. Whenever dimeadozen comes back up, I'll start the torrent and post a link here, unless someone knows an e6 related tracker??

Stay tuned...

Dimeadozen periodically reaches its max # of users and wont let any new ones sign up unitl some accounts go inactive. Keep trying and you should get in, or just PM me for my address, and we can do a B&P.

electrical engineering, and i just got my recording rig completed, this is actually my first high quality show! i did record at pretty decent quality the mountain goats show (video) a couple months back, though, if you'd like a copy let me know. wow, another winter parker, what a small world... :]

do you go to a lot of shows (in the rare event that we actually get good ones)?? i am not planning on anything else until Bonnaroo, but hopefully some announcements will spring up before then. i could have sworn once hurricane season was over, all the good shows would come thru here, but no Beck, no Snowden, nobody i really wanted to see except of Montreal so far...

just for the sake of conversation, do you think these shows really make for good bootlegs? i mean, they're very dancy songs which don't seem to fit with the lo fi sound. this would apply to vinyl too. it seems it would only be really enjoyable if you were at the show or listened on cd. then again maybe it's just because i don't like the new songs that they don't sound very good to me.

wow smarty pants! that is so cool! good luck with the phd stuffs. yay winter park! i live near the new target... i moved here last july and om was the first show i've been to since. nothing has much tickled my fancy, though i admittedly mostly listen to older stuffs. plus i work full time+ so weekday shows are pretty much out and i'm wiped on the weekends. plus i don't know many people here and know 0 people who even remotely like the same music as i do, so i gotta go it alone..it pretty much takes a real special occasion. i wish circumstances were different but what can ya do..

what is bonnaroo? i'm so out of the loop here.

did you go to the of montreal afterparty at the yip-yip house? some girls gave me a flier and said the band was gonna be there. i figured showing up to a house party alone was even more awkward than a show plus i was waay tired..drop me a private msg if you want :)

call me hi...how bout recording a show for the sake of it? there are many people out there who probably couldn't go due to location, schedule, age restrictions...they're probably curious to see what they missed.

that's very true.

i was happy to get a copy of one of their latest shows, but i haven't listened to it more than once and didn't particularly enjoy it that one time. it will be some nice memorabilia years from now though, i guess.

i think another point to be made, is that the quality is in no sense "lofi." did you listen to it ? you've got 20-20k thus qualifying it (quantitatively) as high fidelity. also, if you actually listen to it, it's a pretty damn satisfying (qualitatively) recording.... :]

I second! I've been trying to register for about a week, and I haven't had any luck:(. I really want to listen. Maybe someone could e-mail it to the e6 gmail account?

I posted another torrent @ Oink, which was promptly removed for being an audience recording, so i dunno.

where do you all go for your lossless torrents ? 80% of people have dime acocunts which is why I seeded it there. just tell me what ya want and maybe i can help.

does anyone know for 100% sure whether of Montreal is OK with taping ? if so, I can upload this one to the live music archive, where you can freely download without being a member....
