saturday looks good to me, one of my favorite bands of all time played a cover of "in the aeroplane over the sea" at their live show in ann arbor, mi on new years.

i'm wondering if anyone else here has heard of and/or likes slgtm. and i would also like to know if anyone has seen or knows of a recorded copy of this live cover.

well scott, i have your 3 answers:

of course i'm going to of montreal (at least i plan on it), i talked to fred thomas (the lead guy from slgtm) recently, and he said they're playing ann arbor the saturday after of montreal, but its some small venue. and my third answer is yeah, i'd love to hang out. we still gotta get together and jam soon.

I have two releases. I like All Your Summer Songs. I'd be very interested in hearing their cover. I can't say I adored the Matt Pond PA cover. he just didn't encapsulate that perfection and pain and joy in Jeff's voice.

i would have to agree with you. although, i would say that saturday looks good to me's won't be as good as nmh's. its impossible to cover a song by them and have it be equivilent in any way. i just really liked the combination of slgtm and a neutral milk hotel song. two of my favorite things combined into one.
