remix album

so we have not really talked about this. i remember seeing a list of possible remixers. how does a band like of montreal go about asking other bands to remix their album?

!!!, Supersystem, Broken Spindles, Grizzly Bear, IQU, Mixel Pixel, Trash UK, DJ Dave Pianka (aka Making Time/Fixed dude Dave P), and I Am the World Trade Center all on board for knob-twiddlin'. Party!

I am excited to hear !!! and I am the World Trade Center, but Ive never heard any of ther others. What do you guys think about this? I never thought Of monteral would have a remix album, but i am excied.

the idea of a remix album really fits with the direction the new album took them in.. i'm pretty excited to hear it

yeah, the problem with remix albums is that you usually only get 1 or two good remixes, and the rest are just blah.

i hope that they get david barnes to do the artwork, but allow some other artist to "remix" it. I think that would be really interesting.

I don't see how anyone is excited for this crap. Remix albums are crap. This will be crap, too.

I'll certainly listen to it for a novelty factor, and then never listen to it again in my life. Of Montreal doesn't need to be remixed.
