NMH covers

Does anybody have a definative list of all known covers of NMH songs? And I mean covers from famous bands not the fanfare ones.;)

I know of the Rilo Kiley and The Faint ones...
And for some inexplicable reason I saw The O.C the other day, and I swear the song playing in the background was In The Aeroplane Over The Sea - does anyone know who was playing this?

Dax Riggs of Deadboy And The Elephantmen Does Solo Covers OF NMH but the one I'd love to hear him play (Oh, Comely) he hasn't done but he covers a lot of stuff like BUDDY HOLLY, Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, Nick Lowe, Lucinda Williams, The Pixies, The Misfits and many more But I love the way he does ''In The Aeroplane Over The Sea'' and ''Chelsea Hotel'' pt.1 and pt.2 he did a rare cover of ''Two Headed Boy'' but I haven't obtained it yet.

i just got an album by the broken family band and they cover king of carrot flowers pt. 2 and 3

edit: a lot less noisy and slower... better than matt pond pa...

The Mountain Goats have a live cover of Two-Headed Boy, its not that bad, the quality makes it sound far off. They add some harmonica, its very good... with the exception that John Darnielle (the singer) doesn't know any of the lyrics, but he does apologize for it at the beginning of the song

Yeah, I love The Mountain Goats, but I cringe everytime I hear that cover.

Yep. I rather like it. I'm also a huge fan of the Mountain Goats.

In fact, I met John Darnielle last night. He was at the Silver Jews show, so I went up and said "hi". He's a really nice guy. Apparently they're in the process of mixing his new album right now, too.
