The main songwriter and main founder of the band released his solo album yesterday, I have been listening to it and it is pretty alright. I need to listen to it more before I judge it though.

I thought nothing would ever come out from that band again.

indeed they did.. 'spanish dance troupe' which was released as part of a covers ep that was free with satanic panic back in the day. gorky's does a fine job of rocking my socks completely off.

The cover of "Spanish Dance Troupe" was such an injustice, though.

Gorky's is great. New Euros album is pretty lame, though.

A question: I have Tatay, which I like a lot. I'm interested in getting something else by them, but am not sure were to go. I'm less interested in the folkier aspect and moreso in the pop or psychedelic. What album should I get next?

i'm kind of in the same boat as you and from what i've gathered from my research (that sounded very nerdy) their first two albums are what you're looking for. i haven't heard them but that's what it sounds like from the reviews. i think they're going to be rereleased pretty soon actually. am i right on that?

yeah the albums bwyd time and patio are both pretty similar to tatay. i think the pinnacle of their psych pop sound was barafundle though. it has all of their early craziness but it is better produced and is just really good.

after that album they slowly start going towards the folkie/orchestral style.

but i like it all :)
