Hey, all you bored E6 music makers, you guys should try this project!
It should start with like an incomplete song made by someone (I'll start it if someone tells me the best site to host a small file from), then have it passed around, with each new person adding a track, or taking certain parts of the song and remixing it, until a much more complete product is produced. The only rule would be that each new person would have to incorporate the ideas already in the song (for example, a piano melody would have to be kept, although you would have the freedom to move it around anywhere in the song, or change the volume to make it more or less prominent, or even play it on another instrument, if it is possible!)
If the explanation above is confusing, an example would be like someone playing a few guitar chords and recording it, then having the next person add drum tracks and looping the guitar sounds, then having a third person add random ambient noises to give the song more character, then having a fourth person move the guitar chords to the chorus, and writing another separate melody for the rest of the song, then having a fifth person put down vocal tracks, then having a sixth, and final person, re-play the initial guitar chords to make them sound better, and finalizing the song.
I'm not sure how interesting of an idea this is to anyone on this board, but I personally think it would be very fun to see such a mesh of ideas, and see if it would turn out to be a mess, or turn into something very interesting (not like the song would have to be professional by any means).
