The new Neko Case album is incredible.

I'll be honest. I don't care much for the New Pornographers.

However, Neko Case's latest album is really, really, really, really, really good. Definitely one of my favorites of 2006 so far, along with Excepter's EP, the new Robert Pollard album, and some other various things. I recommend it wholly.

And yes, it is very country-ish. But don't let that scare you; it's a great album.

I reviewed it for the radio station and I wasn't all that impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was okay, but I would hardly call it great. It sounded like a pretty good Emmylou Harris knockoff.

I agree with patman in that her new stuff is great (I dl-ed it last week-ish). I love everything about Neko Case, and she is the main reason I ever liked the New Pornographers.
