I just saw Andrew Bird this Saturday at Eyedrum in Atlanta. All I can say is that he has to be one of the most talanted performers/songwriters around today. Go see him if you get the chance.

Something interesting about Bird........

I attended a show at Schubas in Chicago on Monday night. Now Schubas does this featured spot were they host a band or artist every Monday night of every month (In other words one band plays every Monday night for a month.) It is called practice space, and the artist is free to do what ever they want. Well I was there to see Jason M from The Electric Magnolia Co. Have way through his set Andrew Bird got on stage and played violin for the last three-remaning songs. When that was finished he play solo for five more acoustic songs with guitar and whistling. I still know very little about Bird and his music, but a friend of mine said he collaborated with Pinetop Seven and when Kim did his solo stuff "Sinister Luck Ensemble" he played violin there too. After the show I asked for a set list, which he had in his pocket, but it was written on a recite w/ his girlfriends credit card information......so he kept it.

I don't know how useful that information is for anyone, or why I felt the need to post it here.... but I'm a psycho so I guess it doesn't matter in the slightest.
