I am writing a review on the SF show for my school newspaper and I need the names of the band members. Every single source on them says something different, and I am really confused on who is really in the band.

Thanks for who ever helps.

Oh! I also need some quotes from fans so if you have anything to say, and are cool with being in a school newspaper, dish out something cool to say about the band.

Have you already checked the E6 site with the biography? They are probably listed differently in different places because they change (except Kevin) but the biography section should list who joins and when:

Sorry if you already read that.

I am sorry for acting like a newbie, but that is what I am. I don't usually keep interest in the band members, but in the band's music. That's the most important part of the band. isn't it? I don't mind people criticizing me, but couldn't you have given me the answer and put me down at the same time? It would have made this go a lot faster.

I know the line-up of the band, but what threw me off was the fact that there was only one woman on stage that night, unless the other woman is a fantastic cross-dresser.

I think it was Nina who was gone. Please correct me if this is incorrect.

Also, I don't know what member plays what. Some are obvious, but others are not. If someone could fill me in on that info, that would be great.

I would be eternally grateful if someone would just answer my question promptly and politely. I am on a bit of a dealine.

Thank You

Aaaah Thank you! I agree with Of Montreal being great. I was surprised by MGMTthough. I enjoyed them, and although Grand Buffet was funny, they were crap musicians in my opinion. And they were on too long. The DJ took up too much time also, and played a bit too much hip hop for the show. Thanks again for the info.

You liar! It is Kevin Barnes on guitar, Jeff Mangum on drums, Will Hart on guitar, Bill Doss on bass, and

Crap! I am so confused now. Eh, no one knows who Of Montreal is anyway around here. I would feel horrible to get their names wrong though, and i just read an article on Helium saying that he was the guitarist for this tour. Thanks for your help.

don't let 'em mess with ya. holiday surprise is pretty much right. they do mix it up a bit. did they do the thing for the sf show where dottie played drums blindfolded during an extended freak-out while matt crowd-surfed? i think also jamey played keyboards during that part, but i couldn't see the whole stage.

have you looked at their myspace page?

I don't remember Dottie playing blindfolded, but I couldn't see her half the time. Someone did an extended freak-out while both Matt and Kevin crowd-surfed and then Matt showed up near my cousin and I where he started making out with a girl. I don't know if he knew her or not, but it was amazing. Did Kevin come out in a wedding dress at other shows? That was cute. Plus, Kevin was taking huge bites out of a mango and threw the pieces into the crowd. Funniest thing I've ever seen at a show.

Yeah They are my friend myspace. I should check it out now, but I'm at school and they blocked it. Guess they thought myspace would not be vital to our education. Shows how much they know.

Yeah he came out in a wedding dress at the Dallas show, but my damn camera was messed up and I couldn't get it working until he had already taken it off. :(

I have a couple pictures of him in the dress, plus his other 3-4 costume changes.

yeah, john is just messing with your head...
i thought mgmt was just kind of average...grand buffet made me feel like i wanted to die and the dj was ok until he started mixing the hiphop shit in there

TheHorseisBrown1

That's the problem with DJs at alt/indie/pop shows. Their basis of music is hop hop which never really goes well with the crowd. I would have wanted him to at least play techno, just not hip hop.

Wait, the only member I didn't recognize was Matt, the bassist... who is he? Like, does he have any previous e6 involvement or what other bands is/has he been in?

TheHorseisBrown1

And what is Matt's last name?

yeah its no problem, sorry i probably should have put last names..yeah i think the reason why there was so much hiphop stuff is cause thats what a lot of the people from of montreal listen to now, well they all seemed to like it and i know dottie listens to it.

Yeah I guess so. Oh well, it was altogether a good show despite the openers.

Oops. That was a typo, I meant you. Lo siento. That was hilarious by the way. If I had caught a piece, I would have cherished it forever.

Bryan! tsk tsk! wasting perfectly good fruit.
don't you know there are starving kids in...oh, where was it again???

You guys didn't do Vermont this tour. Higher Ground too full, or are you just tired of the place?

I'm ~thinking~ about seeing the Ann Arbor show- Ms.Anni is living up that way right now; but I'm not sure. Coattail Riders-have you heard them yet? check them out! - are on tour but only playing a few venues, & I may have to go alllll the way to Arizona or Texas to see them.

BTW, it's a little after the fact, but did ya get in any trouble for mucking with the valve at MTV? :P
