I was browsing orange twin's catalogs and i came across the group. Listening to a few of their samples, i liked what i heard and was considering getting some of their albums. Any thoughts on them?

I have their records. Tony from Orchid Pool recommended them to me. Some people say they sound like Boards of Canada. i don't thinks os. I like BMSR. I very much dislike BofC.

Buy it. It's worth the 8 bucks. Raspberry Dawn is my fave tune

one of the guys (or possibly the only guy) from black moth super rainbow use to post here years ago (back before the board had a big crash). we traded demos a while back, but unfortunately all my cd's had an accident and it got ruined.

Hey, did you guys cancel your show in Harrisonburg a few weeks ago? I couldn't make it for the show but I heard it didn't happen anyway?

hey!
i thought about coming back on since i was super curious about of montreal's synth setup and i wanted to jump in on the discussion.

i lent out my nervesandgel disc a few months after you sent it, and haven't seen it since.
are you still making music?

Well, the origins of the thread are rather old. I assume that you, Birdman, have gotten the album already and are enjoying it tremendously. If not what are you waiting for? Some other information you might not have known.......its e6 related too.

BMSR:
August 2, 2006 @ the mattress factory
500 sampsonia way
Pittsburgh, pa 15212
$10 advance / $12 at the door
7 pm
w/ Of Montreal

I saw them live in Chicago last week. Not only is this band top of the line in professionalism and coolness, there is very little I can do in describing how unbelievable they sound live. It is not even comparable to their studio recordings (which are good, don't get me wrong.) So....... anyone in Pittsburgh go out to see this show. You will not be disappointed with BMSR.
