I need to say something about the arcade fire

ok, I never really liked the arcade fire from the handful of songs I heard, but I was at media night for my school, and t here was one film with the song "neighborhood 1(tunnels)" and It blew me away. I asked the filmmaker who it was and he said the arcade fire. I was like "ok" and looked up the song, and the weird thing is, I still dont like their other songs much, but tunnels is just tooooo amazing. how can they ever top that song? seriously, its too good

Tunnels is probably my favorite song from that album- it's just such a great opener. I also happen to love the rest of the album and the only song that I really don't like that much from Funeral is Laika.

I like a few tracks, Wake Up being my favorite and the reason I picked up the album.

Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) is a very good song, but not my favourite song on the "Funeral" album. Rebellion(lies) is my favourite..
I also like the rest of the album.

Tunnels was also the reason why I picked up Funeral, but like the rest of the album I was tired of it by the fourth listen.

i really like crown of love, but i think the whole album is pretty good. i have definitely heard other albums with sore spots worse than that of funeral.

I go to School of the arts, or SOTA in san francisco, and one of the arts you can take is media, or basically film. media night is at the end of every semester where all the media students show their films. Im in the school for music, and other arts include theater, dance, visual art (drawing, painting), creative writing, vocal, and theater tech (aka slacker department).

but yes, I still think tunnels is the only good arcade fire song

there has been some 'buzz' in certain circles over the arctic monkeys.

the whole reason, pretty much, that 'hype' is such a problem is that nobody wants to miss the next big thing. no one has any idea anymore what good music actually is, they just want to be cool.

except us. we at least have the slightest clue.

Nor do I, although I know I find the Arctic Monkeys tedious. As for the Arcade Fire, overhyped they may be but I still enjoy a fair bit of their stuff and I like their packaging.

Hype really puts me off checking stuff out, I'm a big music snob that way. I reason that if something is popular, there's a pretty good chance it will be shite. It's not fool-proof, but I think it's a pretty good generalisation, as long as you know it isn't fool-proof, and are prepared to admit when you're wrong. Actually, I've promised a couple of people that I'll finally give Funeral a shot this week, so i'll see how I get on.

I really liked Tunnels when I first got it, but now i definitly think Rebellion Lies is the best song on that album. However their best song imo is Headlights look like Diamonds.

also funeral is the best album put out since in the aeroplane over the sea :(
