Mangum in the NFL [Archive]

so i had the Panthers/Bears game on today while i was doing something else, and i hear "Touchdown, Mangum!" or something. For a second, I though THAT'S what Jeff had being doing with himself these days: playing professional football! :D

But turns out it's a guy named Kris Mangum. He's from Mississippi. I wonder if there's a relation. i know it's not that rare of a name, but still.

Some comedian came to Louisville a month or two ago named Josh Mangum. I saw the 'J' and the 'Mangum' out of the corner of my eye one day and got all excited. I was sadly mistaken.

I bet you that guy could bench press six Jeff Mangums and is therefore infinitely better at everything.

I dunno. I never went to see him. My disappointment that it wasn't Jeff basically overshadowed my desire to be entertained.

LOL! I had to respond to this topic. I'm originally from Mississippi and I went to Ole Miss with Kris Mangum. I doubt there's any relation between he and Jeff. Kris is from Magee which is a little town in south MS far away from Ruston.

I had a few friends from Ruston that went to Ole Miss..there were a few Macready boys that I wonder if Jeff grew up with..Ryan and Neal?

Anyway. I just joined this site and saw this topic and it cracked me up. I think Jeff Mangum and NMH are wonderful and I would love to see Jeff perform again one day
