Question Regarding the Eco-Village

I was wondering how one would join the Orange Twin community - could I simply walk in or would arrangements have to be made?

I will let you know about what I know. The community is on a large piece of land that used to be used as some sort of camp, possibly girl scout. There is a nice creek/stream running through it with a little watering/swimming hole. I know some farming has been attempted and they are trying to grow grapes for wine.
As far as getting involved, last I heard, a share cost around $10,000 (it is not cheap buying this much land an maintaining it) and I think that you probably also have to go and meet everyone involved and sort of get approved in. They have not started building any homes or anything like that yet, but they were donated a home by someone in Athens and have moved that out there and I believe they are working on fixing it up and using it as some sort of community building.
I guess that is about it. If you are in or around the area you should come to an Orange Twin festival, it is a good chance to see the place and talk to those involved. Good luck!

what is the news with the eco-village??

laura lives there along with another family, i know they have a kid whos in his teens, they live in trailors that some guy made with solar panels on top, so they can have portable studios and such. she was very drunk when she told me this though and it was late, so this may all be mixed and mashed
