I don't know about corntofudogs but I've had tofu dogs. Can't remember if they were good or not.

In any case I'm jealous of all you people on that side of the country! Beepy and crew need to come to California, we have corndogs here too, I swear I'll even track down some corntofudogs!

Morning Star Farms makes really good corn dogs. not sure what they are made out of and have not had them in a year or so, but I do remeber they were good. I really liked all the Morning Star Farms foods. Very good.

most of my diet consists of morning star farms...
chik'n pot pies, veggie chili and cornbread.
even the veggie supreme pizza...

there are some good veggie scientists out there.
what will they create next?

i've got the veggie cornbread and chili in the freezer now! i've been a little hesitant with it, but i think i'll eat it soon, knowing that someone likes it. the breakfast strips (bacon) are awesome with eggs or most other morning star meals.

morning star farm products are yummy in my tummy. their corndogs are scrumptious. i don't know why the stores in my area won't carry their products anymore. when we first came here they had a ton of stuff but over the past months it’s all dissipated.

just wondering, but how many of the board members are vegetarians or vegans?

i've been vegetarian for a few years, but in the last year, i've sampled some fish and chicken. i'm not sure if i will continue to though.

i've been meat free for at least 4 years. i still eat eggs and diary products, and rarely i will eat fish.
i;ve had some of the mornign star stuff and it is pretty tasty and handy. there is a brand i like better and that is amy's organic. very very tasty dishes.
i love tofu dogs, especially those great ones that guy sells by the 40 watt. we're about to head to georgia to visit my parents in albany and we may make the trek up to athens for a day....i hope he's there.

hey bp, or anyone else over there, are there any good shows/events happenin' from the 18-21st? i know i'm just missing the lips by a few days, argh.

ok... here's what's hot for those days...

18th: lona at the caledonia (it's behind the 40 watt)
amazing band. one of the best in town.
a definite country edge, but don't let that
dissuade you. think country-stones-pop.

monocles at the 40 watt.
what happens when the masters of the hemisphere and kincaid merge?
you'll find out at their debut show.

19th: i am the world trade center and tenderness
tenderness is john and mischo mckay's (macha) new fuzzy r&b soul band.
they're hot! i highly recommend it.
it ain't no motown thing.

21th: black angus at the boar's head.
this is uga football placekicker billy bennett's cover band.
i have no idea on this one. but if you're gutsy, where a referee's uniform
and call the songs like ya see 'em.
"it's good!" "wide left!" etc.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm also not a big fan of meat...

I do like the occasional hamburger... But to be honest, turkey bacon is the reason why I can't give up meat.. Without turkey bacon, I would be very grumpy in the morning...

turkey burgers were one of the main things keeping me from giving up meat. now that sounds absurd to me. i definitely remember and appreciate the joy of eating cheeseburgers and other meats. the smell of a barbeque will always make me feel good.

I'm morally a vegitarian - when I'm with non-vegitarians and they offer me a meal containing the bodily meat of lifeforms I won't refuse them. Its not the act of putting it in your mouth and chewing - its the act of inprisoning and harming the lifeform which I'm against. Most of my family is vegitarian so 99% of the time I never eat meat - I just can't totally say I never eat meat because when I go to my fathers house, or other meat-eating households I accept their offerings even if it is a non-vegitarian offering.

when I lived in Olympia, I used to eat a lot of corndogs. they were 3 for a 1$ at the am/pm. I like Morningstar Farms fake bacon tho. one of my favey snacks.
But..I am omnivorous. I love meat, but I also love tofu/saitan/veggie protein type things. People are always either/or, why not have both? :D

Ya know Satan (not seitan)is often refered to as the Morning Star.Think on this. Now on the meat sustitue topic I has anybody out there ever tried "Quorn"?This yummy stuf is created from a fungus. What kind of fungus this I do not know.I'll venture a guess that it may be derived from the chicken mushroom which very closely resembles it's namesake in taste though in appearance tis a blob.
Well more on mushrooms and other facts of nature later
