Dreams About Neutral Milk Hotel.

Has anyone ever had a dream involving anything having to do with Neutral Milk Hotel?

A couple nights ago I had a dream I was at some Website that was selling a Neutral Milk Hotel EP I'd never heard of. There was only one left. It had about 6 songs if I remember correctly. I ordered it, and listened to the 30 second samples, and it was really good - I don't remember anything of what it sounded like though. I didn't actually ever get the EP in the dream - it was just a dream of ordering it, and being really excited by the samples - not listening to the whole thing or anything. i had a dream where they ate me!

it was actually this big dinner party inviolving a bunch of musicians and others, and i was the main course... i started out in the freezer, then got defrosted, then got seasoned and cooked and basted and different parts of me got cooked differently and they made gravy and then they carved me up and served me and ate me.... it was weird because i could see from the point of view of every part of me at once, and that is quite strange when twenty people are eating you.....

I only have dreams about my ex stabbing me in the neck and drinking my blood. I guess you normal folk call them nightmares.

Dreams? Yeah, once I had a dream where I was with all the members of E6 in a log cabin in a forest. I watched them all play the banjo and we drank tea. It was pretty cool.

A friend told me about a dream he had in where a bunch of Jamaicans were singing nmh songs...hmmm which one...anyway...they were reaching their hands into the air and sort of looking really blissfull full o' soul. It seems like it would sound really comforting in that accent. Jaa maaannn , all yooouur ashes will fly from the aaiiirroplane ova da seeeeeaaa.

I have a lot of weird dreams... I dream about tornados a lot! And usually the tornados are getting ready to hit the house, and everyone is acting normal like nothing's happening. Or I'm in a car driving towards a tornado, and cars and houses are being sucked up into it, and yet I continue to drive straight for it..

what does this mean, I wonder? :)

I remember telling my mother one day, when I was young, to let me sleep for another 5 minutes so that I could end the chapter in my dream. Oddly enough the next night my dream started where I had left off.

I wish my dreams were more clear or interesting. When I dream it's usually just a stress dream or a dream featuring different people I know. I hardly ever dream anything interesting.

waking life is a swell movie, i bought it just today on super duper sale.

i bought a dream dictionary a few years ago, but i no longer think that there is only one tiny set of possibilities as to what a certain object can mean for a certain person in a certain dream at a certain time... certainly...

i think somewhere deep down you know what the tornado dreams mean, ms dolemite... but im going to give you my interpretation too, for what its worth... maybe you need to not worry about the future so much and just be comfortable in life, even if a tornado is comming your way, i mean you cant do anything to stop a tornado, or destiny or whatever, so you should just enjoy yourself! the other one sounds like youre headed for chaos or something... but it looks like youre able to take it head on!
... im probably just as good interpreting dreams as i am at predicting physical appearances....

I hate when you fall asleep and you are having a really good dream and you wake up during a really good part of the dream and you try really hard to go back to sleep so you can finish it!

Unfortunately, I am never able to pick back up where I left off..

Today I was standing in line at the museum to see the Philips collection and it just hit me that last night I had a dream with Jeff in it. It was really bizarre. It was this odd dating show that took place on the University campus. But it was neat because we were just talking as if friends, even though I knew he was Jeff. And I was thinking about how I couldn't wait to get home to tell people on the board that I had hung out with Jeff. But I made the huge mistake of making this sign that said something along the lines of "I want Neutral Milk Hotel to kiss me". I had put the sign on my ass, don't ask me why, and it had fallen off and someone found it and read it and that was the end of Jeff. He refused to talk to me and picked another girl but I ended up with these other guys. Ahhh c'etait bizarre.

*please don't get wrong impressions about me* The dream scares me because I never act like that when I'm awake or sleeping if existence is really a dream.

I had a dream about watching the Olivia Tremor Control cover the crappy-Epitaph-punk-almost-classic "She Broke My Dick" by All. The words go something like;

"SHE BROKE MY DICK! SHE BROKE MY F*CKING DICK!
*Something here about trying his secret move and hearing it snap*
SHE BROKE MY DICK!
*other guys screaming* SHE BROKE HIS DICK!
*A girl's voice* I BROKE HIS DICK!"
SHE BROKE MY F*CKING DICK!

It's an amusing song with all the class of a loud fart. All in all, it was satisfying to hear a high minded art band cover it.

Other than that, the only songs to have ever worked their way into my dreams have been NMH's "Two Headed Boy pt 2" and the Circulatory System's "Now".
