I saw Of Montreal last night at the Ottobar. It was my first time seeing them and they were fucking fantastic.

Here's my question, though. As you probably all know, the Management opened for them. They too, threw a very good live show. My friend and I searched for a good hour or two on the internet for them and have came up with one thing:

http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE4731FDB4AAB7320D09A3049C8A77EEB29D94E FB87126E495AD1A96469B9286FEC5AE295C5AEF873AB7BAFFF 2BE85B0DD9C9EF5CFED8765D40&sql=10:utf1zff3eh7k

Is that them? Does anyone know anything about them? Links to their website, anything?

Thank you a lot.

there was a "big" article on Of Montreal in this morning's Metro (NYC free paper).
It said that The Management is "...two guys and a life-sized iPod".

The Management are these two kids from Wesleyan, the college in Conneticut. They have an amazing song called "Kids" which everyone should at least listen to. I have this song, but I don't know how to provide it to you guys. I could maybe email it to that e6 gmail address or something? Does that work, and if so, what is the address? I'm seeing Of Montreal tonight with 3 friends, and two of them are going simply because the management is opening, which I find kind of funny.

Edit: They apparently have a myspace account. I don't do that kind of thing, so I don't know how to find a link to it, but anyone with interest in a really good song should find Kids on their account/page/whatever.

there was no life sized iPod @ N6 last night.
one of the MGMT dudes fell over and broke his guitar.
they were pretty good.
However, I couldn't tell if they were taking temselves a little too seriously.
At times I felt like I was watching Milli Vanilli or Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

i was just at the northsix show last night also.

mgmt threw a pretty weird show but for an "ipod" it was awesome.

I am really diggin' the MGMT's sound. I saw them in Michigan and bought their CD and have been playing it non-stop. I talked to them for a little bit after the show at the merch table and they were cool, down-to-earth guys too...definitley one of my new favorite bands!

apparently they couldn't keep the full name "the management" because it was already taken by another band, so they had to change it to the shortened name, MGMT. I doubt it will cause that much of a problem if you're searching for the band. By the way, i really didn't like them when i saw them at the michigan show.
