i need help :(

i've been feeling really depressed and suicidal and stuff lately. I'm anti social and i'm not exactly the popular kid kinda person, but im going into high school on monday! I have no will to live right now.
the girl im in love with, lauren, lives in canada. shes coming for one week in october, and ill be in school!
my music career sucks. i have a bad voice, i dont know chords and my lyrics are dumb. people have said theyre nice but i have no confidence. so im really suicidal and stuff and i was about to cut my wrists.
sorry for burdening you but what should I do? id like to think i can trust you guys!

Hey, don't do that!! You'll be fine! High school is a scary place, but maybe there will be some new people there that will be cool to hang with! AND!!!! I've read your poetry here, and its awesome!!!! I wish I could have been so intelligent and creative at the age of 14!!!

I think many of us have gone through these things. I know there was a period in college where I was so depressed and I gained a bunch of weight and cried at the drop of a hat, and I thought I had nothing to live for. Then I realized I had everything to live for!! I mean, I love great music!! I love so many things and if you think about it that's really what makes life great!

So don't fret, my friend! You have helped me feel better today as well by reminding me how great the little things in life are... Being 14 is tough, but stick it out! You seem like a smart kid!

you may feel like your name right now, and at this age, but the people who don't feel like freaks right now and seem to be having an easy time with life will feel boring when they get older. And although it sounds cliche', it's true that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. High school is not easy, and when you come through it, you can leave it all behind and move to a place where people are more like you are. But don't kill yourself, because nobody's exactly like you are and that's what makes you unique, and what you have to offer the world. So what if you think the music you're making now is bad. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Record everything you do, and keep at it, and in a few years it will be fun to listen to how much progress you have made. There is no such thing as an insignificant action. And when playing music, there's no such thing as wasted time.

Things will get better, really. I had an awful adolescene too. As Half-handed said, I grew into myself. Maybe that so many people here are saying how terrible age 14 was for them means that it's not you, it's our fucked-up society, that's the problem. The answer, if there is one, is certainly not to kill yourself, but to make a healthier world. It might be time for a revolution. Seriously, I think politics made me a happier and more fulfilled person (check out www.infoshop.org). And if you hate high school you can always drop out, homeschool or get your GED. The world is big and your options are many and your music will only get better!

it is tough to get through but the phase will pass. for me it comes and goes but mostly the urge remains in the attic.

though high school is difficult and, in my opinion, not that great you will find people that you can associate with. judging by your music taste and love of writing i recommend that you pay a visit to the art room. you are bound to find a friend there; you are bound to find one friend atleast in your highschool. A friend that you can relate to on many levels.
