That you can see the stars better in the countryside.

That somebody somewhere might be reading this thread and be reminded of the things that have made them happy, and that I can never know this, only assume.

That I'm not sleeping on a bench tonight.

That I don't have anything to write in the 'bumming out' thread.

Yay! Go chocolate!

I got a new prescription for my glasses, I hadn't had one in at least 6 years, now I can see leaves in the trees and individual blades of grass and stuff, its amazing! I just keep walking around and looking at things going 'wow!' and then taking them off to compare what it'd look like without them. It really makes me appreciate how beautiful everything is (cheesey!):D

I'm listening to the new New Pornographers, which seems way better than I thought, I didn't really like their second. And Animal Collective's new album is awesome too. Now I'm going to visit my grandmother who I haven't seen in a very long time.

I get to meet my wife for lunch today at Barry's Bagels.

I got a sweet new guitar for my birthday that I've wanted for a long time (Danelectro DC-59). I get to practice with it for the first time tonight.

I bicycled around early in the morning.

A huge bag of tomatoes from the farmers market.

My sweetie made awesome flyers for the show we're setting up.

My writing group liked the chapter of my diss. they read.

The cats read in bed with me.

They have started selling tiny Star Wars weapons as keychains in gumball machines. They also double as miniature flashlights! Now I have a blaster and Luke`s green lightsaber from Episode 6.

Life could seriously not be better.

I went for my 18 year physical today and learned that I have grown a half-inch since last year, making me legitimately 5'3.

I got new shoes (Minnetonka Moccasin ankle boots) and they are super cool.

According to Last.fm, I have listened to the Minutemen song "Joe McCarthy's Ghost" 52 - no, 53 times. That song rules. I think I will listen to it again some more.

I never say I am happy, but content.

I just didn't like their second. It's boring and doesn't really have any good songs. I love their first and the new one seems just as good.

On a sidenote: My granny is totally cool at the age of 85. It really felt good seeing her.

we might go out tonight to see 'the winter's tale', which is one of my fave shakespeares, which is largely underappreciated and hardly ever produced, but the old globe is doing it as part of their shakespeare repertory this year, yay! so i have to get excited about that, even though i'm dead tired and have a long day before i get to tonight. that is making me happy.

hey, retro, are you still having that pain in your side? i might be able to help you rule out appendicitis. u2u me, k?

I get to read me some William Faulkner and not feel like a lazy lie-about because it's for a class.

Also, I have a bunch of Sam Adams in the fridge.

Also, there is a big party on friday.

Also, Cherry Peel.

Also, my new guitar. Danelectro DC-59.

Also, it's looking like I'm going to finally graduate in the spring.

i started school today, thats boring, but i only have to be there 1 or 2 days a week, and i start 3.15 pm and the day end 5 pm. i have to read and write alot at home though.. and now when school start i get money again, but it's student grant + study loan, so i have to pay back a lot of money in a few years..
so i'm kind of ambivalent about it.

I did however see one Mr. GrossDaddy buying a Marshmallow Coast LP which I had on my watch list :D That seller seems to have a lot of them though.

And thats what is making me happy right now, because I just went on ebay and put lots of stuff in my parents watch list so they can buy me things I want for my birthday and christmas! Yay! I'm also in charge for getting my brother's stuff, so he's getting a Futurama gender Bender clockwork figure. I want it for myself though ;) This Christmas is going to be one good haul! :P

Yep.

I was intently watching that Item. The day of the auction close, I leave a window open of the item description. Then, continually refresh the page to see what, if any, new bids come in. I implore the strategy of “snipe bidding. I wait till there is literally 30 sec. left, In the auction, before placing my bid. Most of the time it does not allow a bidder to out bid me in the remaining seconds. It is a cheap and dirty way to bid, but very effective. In this particular case, there was 10 minutes to go on the item. I focused my attention on something other than the page and missed my opportunity to bid. I felt like shooting myself. I am happy that you won the item though. It made you happy (as to the post in this thread.) Plus, I feel better that it went to a hall member.

Enjoy,

DRG

P.S. What was your max bid if you don’t mind me asking?

[Edited on 9-13-2005 by GrossDaddy57]

Thanks, DRG. I really wanted this and i lost every other time i tried to win it. I was rapidly refreshing the screen with thirty seconds to go, heh. My max bid was ridiculous. I think it was like 60 dollars or something.

xiao yao wan.

it's like chinese herbal prozac, only you don't have to wait 2 weeks for it to take effect. and no nasty 'sexual side effects' (if anything, it has a nice influence in that area...).

:D

also the tom delay thing.

and autumn. i like autumn very much.

Im happy because i had the pefect morning, woke up to a phone call from a person i'm completely enfatuated with at the moment and he's coming over to hang out in like 2 hours, then i had a morning cigarette AND there was coke in the fridge so i got to have a morning soda too. Then my indipnendandt study place called and told me they've matched me with me teacher, as the opera house 7" was jamming to wake up. Basically so far everything that could go rite has.

And my music tapes picture disk just got here!!!
