My collector`s edition Coca-Cola design yo-yo has a knot in it, and I can`t get it out. Being as I have spent the past month spending my breaks at work perfecting both "walking-the-dog" and "around the world", I went and bought another collector`s edition Fanta Grape and I ended up with a Classic Sprite design yo-yo. It looks better, but it doesn`t work properly. I can`t do a damn thing with it!

i have a pain in my side.
i'm afraid it may be apendecitis (i haven't a clue on how to spell it)
however i may have just pulled a muscle.
no matter, it hurts.
plus i was told that i look way younger than i really am... again.
but today they were polite enough not to say
"You look like you're twelve! you'll appreciate that when you're older. heh heh."

The emergence of Biased_Observer is a strange and inconsistent chapter in the UO/BO/Spiritualdishwasher saga. As it happened, BO was introduced to the Townhall as spiritualdishwasher's adversary, counteracting UO's complimentary fawning. Now she's caught in a love triangle with Dish and UO? And why would she be mad at Dish if Dish left UO for her? It doesn't add up.
UO, too, has proved to be inconsistent. In her first post, she claimed that she had joined to be Dish's apprentice, and there were no signs that they had actually met. Now she's an irate ex-girlfriend, angered by her boyfriend's nonchalant infidelity. Doesn't sound possible to me.
Of course, I too am just as curious to see how this drama will unfold. I am merely a...Casual_Observer.

It has been about 40 hours since I've slept, and my hopes aren't too high that this streak will be broken soon.

I went to the hairdressers today, forked out for a new cut and blow dry, left feeling proud of my new hair (yeah, a sin, I was asking for it) and the heavens opened and I had to walk home in the pouring rain :( I never even saw it properly :(

Dang!
This reminds me of other hair-related sadness. I splurged on a bottle of reallllly expensive conditioner at a fancy salon, and promptly lost it just minutes later. My hairs weep.

I am bummed out about how stupid everything is. Why, i woke up this morning with an aeroplane insulting me. Normally this wouldn't be so annoying, but I haven't ever taken any hallucinagenics before, so it pissed be off. But i think it would be allright for it to make fun of me as long as I had time to put my pants on.

GARGH! CVs!!! GARGH! Why such a pain? :( I mean seriously:
Make yourself sound like the person the company is looking for. Words such as “proven, “self-motivated, “confident, “skilled etc are good here. Don’t talk about hobbies and pastimes as this could create the wrong impression.
"I was self-motivated to leave the job because it had proven to be crap, customers were way too confident that they could sneak in for free, give the employees grief and were generally skilled at being complete arseholes." Is that what they want? Don't think so somehow. How the heck do I glam up a job like that? It's giving me a headache just thinking about it. It's just a bloody retail job, I hate all this rubbish, why can't people just be honest? I only want this job because I am so broke I need some cash, and this happens to be near the bus station, in an okay environment, and is 3 days a week so I still have time to work on my illustrations, its not like I've always wanted to work at freaking Lakeland Plastics or anything. :( Would they be impressed if I slipped them a scrawled note saying "I'm really in debt, please, please, please give me a job?":(

this happened a couple blocks from my house last night:
UNION-TRIBUNE
October 15, 2005
LA MESA – One person was shot to death and two were wounded last night at an apartment complex on Normal Avenue, police said.
La Mesa police received several 911 calls about 9:30 p.m. reporting the shooting.
Officers found three gunshot victims, La Mesa police Lt. Allen White said. One person died at the scene; one had been hit in the arm and the other in the torso.
White said late last night that he did not know the victims' genders or ages.
Several San Diego police and county sheriff's units assisted in the investigation.
The shooting occurred a few blocks from Helix High School, where a brawl broke out near the end of a football game between Helix and Mount Miguel High. The fight began about the same time as the shooting.
Players and coaches fought on the field, and the game, with Helix leading 30-6, was called with about two minutes remaining.
Fighting continued in a parking lot, but the shooting was unrelated to the brawl, White said.
– Ryan Martinez
we heard lots of sirens for what seemed like forever. they were responding to the football brawl and the shooting at the same time i guess. then a while later, one ambulance left the scene with sirens going. :( pan must have been passing through last night.

My rooster has gone :( Well he vanished last week and I assumed a fox got him (although there were no feathers strewn about the place) But what is in the paper today? Lies about my rooster saying he attacks everyone on sight and is known as 'The Beast'. Actually, he is known as Yellow Legs! and if he attacks on sight how have I been feeding him, often by hand, every day for the past 2 months without harm? As has an old woman down the road. My poor Yellow Legs :( At least if a fox got him he would go to good use, I expect if they got the RSPCA in to take him away (as the paper said they would) they would have just incinerated him :( And its not bad enough that they do this, they have to go and spread lies in the papers? And not even a local rag, it was the Daily Telegraph so its nationwide! My poor Yellow Legs, always remembered in my heart as a cute and friendly fellow of sunny disposition :(

other than that, what is bumming me out today is that i am having a migraine headache (only the second in my entire life, but the second in 2 weeks). so i am missing tricks or treats with lucy. tim is out with her. :( at least i can stay home and pass out candy and play scary music. i'm still bummed, though.

Thats too bad :( I remember the year before last I had a really bad flu for halloween (and my birthday :() and spent the whole week in bed, and had to send my housemate out in the rain to get some sweets for the trick or treaters since I didn't have anything left in the house and I always like giving them treats (especially since I don't get the chance at my usual home).
Other crap things, I'm a year older (damn), I got a really awesome CD of 60s/ 70s psychedelic Welsh music and I've fallen in love with a lot of the songs on it but I can't find the albums anywhere! Damn you!!!! Get re-releasing!
And thanks for the kind words for Yellow Legs, he is sorely missed :(

10-31-2005, 07:44 PM
Grrr, its even worse! I just found a longer report about Yellow Legs from a local paper and it says this:
The gamecock, dubbed the Beast of Bishopsbourne, goes for anyone getting too close to it, hackles rising and spurs to the fore.
And yet...
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y202/Coquelicot_Asleep/P9140025.jpg
NO DAMN SPURS!!!!! He was only a young boy, he hadn't grown his spurs yet :( Why do papers have to be so sensational? God I hate them. I know why they did it, its because he woke them up with his crowing in the morning and the RSPCA wasn't interested so they had to make up a story about him being violent so that they would have a reason to dispose of them. People are such selfish idiots.

Yeah I know, people are real idiots. And get this- the person who wrote the article (who happens to be my uncle) keeps his own chickens, fecking stupid!!! The neighbours on our other side are always complaining about our own chickens despite the fact that we've had them for what, 20 years? They moved in about 7 or so years ago knowing full well we had them (they lived up the hill before moving next door) and still complain about them  Whats worse is their dogs howl when they go out!!! I could rant about them all day, like the time they stopped me walking though through their field (as I have done all my life) and made me go all the way back up the hill to go the other way when I was right outside my house (which backs onto their field- not even a crop field by the way, just grass for sheep). And they decorate their house really regally, its just an old English cottage style house but they have loads of tacky rococo style gold furniture, its so vile. They remind me of Mrs. Bucket from 'Keeping up Appearences' (if you've ever seen that show) I think 'love your neighbours' falls flat on its face when your neighbours are complete asshats.

hehe. asshats.
yes, i think we have seen every episode of KUA, i used to hate it while tim liked it, and eventually i came around. i used to pretty much hate all the british shows (except monty python, of course), but i have warmed to several of them. they don't show them as much anymore, though. that's pretty much all the tv we watch, saturday nights. i figure it won't warp lucy's mind too much, and there are no commercials.

A pretty girl being too far away... too too too fucking far. That's all. I don't want to make her cry and I want to feel as comfortable as I do when I've got my hand in hers and we're just talking about whatever. But Pittsburgh (stupidest fucking place on earth)and New Jersey are 400 miles apart. Oh first love.

Ohhh, that does sucks. I saw them in a tiny pub a few months ago to a crowd of about 10 people, it was terrible [for the band], but they cheered up an otherwise dreadful week [for me].

Being on a break with the ladyfriend. It's for the best because we still love eachother, but the relationship doesn't make sense with us being 5 hours apart and seeing eachother one weekend a month. I'm happy and relieved, but it still sucks. We're only doing it so that when it makes sense again, we can pick up where we left off, which is a very good place.
Even so... I could use a hug.
I'm really glad that I have my Love (the band, not the emotion) records to keep me company.

That might happen to me too due to her going to college next year.... :(

I guess the only due date that matters is the end of the semester......
I never seemed to turn papers/projects in on time. I had a class when I was a junior, I believe, where the whole class was based on class participation and three papers 6-8 pages. I stayed up for 30-40 hours and typed all three back to back to back. Then I handed them in during the instructor’s office hours the last day of class. Ended up with a B+ for a finial grade.
I suppose that I just needed to share that. I can't see how it would make you feel any better........still I wouldn't worry all that much. Two weeks is still quite a bit of time if you budget appropriately. I don't know how cool your professors are but, I went to a small liberal arts school, so once I outlined what I planned to do with my paper, presented it to my professor, and handed it in after grades were submitted on "the honor system." I kicked back for a long brake and finish the paper the first week of class the following semester. That week is a blow off anyway. You would be surprised what you can get if you ask.
Either way, “This too shall pass

You speak (or write?) the truth, GrossDaddy.
"This too shall pass" is my philosophy right now.
I turned in papers months overdue in high school, and since I'm so charming, I didn't get points taken off. Due dates are not part of my reality!
Thanks for the whiny teenager reality check!

I'm re-fretting a guitar (not my first), and it's all going to hell. Frustration.
My girl is far away and working, can't hear from her for a few days. Frustration.
I'm running out of the money I've saved since losing my job. Nervous, but not so much since money comes and goes.
I lost my recording space because somebody moved, I desperately want to make music but I have no place to do it, and even if I did do it, it would be low quality and nobody would care. Even if I was able to put my music into professionally packaged CDs and disturibute them world-wide (to give that air of importance people prefer in place of soul), nobody would care, and I'd starve, eating my own ridiculous CDs years before they find my decayed body, a tribute to failure even though nothing was really standing in my way; like the rest of my life prior to that event.
Yeah, I'm a little bummed out.

first may i say it is nice no one has posted to this thread since december 1!
having said that...
i seriously think i may have the mumps. the salivary glands on the left side of my head are all swollen, and quite painful, and it is difficult to eat. i suppose it could be some other type of infection, but yikes! whatever it is, it is bumming me out. i was just almost completely over that dreadful flu. i started noticing it last night on the way home from the of montreal show (phenomenal as always!). anyway, send good vibes to my salivary glands if you have any.

Ditto, I'm so broke and so overdrawn and scouring the papers and internet for jobs reachable by bus and that don't need experience, it sucks! And when I find a really good one and apply I just don't even hear back... bastards...
