Did anyone else have an as crazy a time as I did. That setence can't be right.

I don't want to spoil anything, let me know if I can talk more about it (for those wanting to be surprised or whatever)

suffice it to say:

FALSE ACUSATIONS: THEY WANT YOU!

Yeah, I know some people getting upset ruining set lists... stop reading if you are...

They played all Satanic Panic and Sunlandic Twins except the said encore of Jennifer Louise. They played two (three?) new songs... one which was a rap song called (or at least I am referring to it as) FALSE ACCUSATIONS! where Dottie broke it down like a mad man (woman) damn.... awesome synth!

They were awesome! And everyone in the audience knew all the words to all the songs. It was a big dance party. Also, the rest of that show was amazing. Superfallingstars! Galactic Heroes! Red Pony Clock! Elekibass! 63 Crayons! Circulatory System!

OM also played "Every Day is Like Sunday."

indeed it was a dance party w/ lots of good vibrations :D

yeah it was the first i've known OM to play all SPITA-onward stuff except for jennifer louise. the new songs were really cool, kind of david bowie meets prince maybe (and the hip hop segue/prelude to forecast fascist future was rad). also family noveau and everyday feels like sunday were great to hear live!

jamey was on the drum machine/sampler/etc even more this time out than the last tour and he kept reminding me of a kraftwerk guy standing there, playing it cool. possibly the most enthusiastic crowd i've ever had the pleasure of being a part of at an OM show. fun fun fun

yes this was awesome (when they did it in athens for one of the covers shows). i remember it being kevin, BP (before he was back in the band full-time) and one of the homestar runner guys kicking it out w/ fake moustaches and adidas footwear. only the 60s covers show surfaced w/ a recording so far as i know, sadly..

Hey you guys.

On the topic of originality/experimentation:

Lots of musical styles have always come about via hybridization. Valuing experimentation is modernist in orientation and modernism has been dying since the fifties. But to say that there is "nothing original" about recent Of Montreal music, I think, shortchanges them. Yes, there is a sense of working within genres in this music, but it is not just one genre. Is there some band who, in the past, created an album that is aesthetically identical to The Sunlandic Twins? I certainly don't think so! So yes, Of Montreal are original. Very original, I would say.

And I must say also that calling the fact that Of Montreal have a new rap song "horribly horribly stupid" without even having heard it is very kneejerk.

Peace out!

i heard through the grapevine something about a dvd of this show possibly happening.. they did have a guy on stage filming for one thing.

B.P. if you guys are doing anything with the video of the show and you'd still be into any extra footage/angles i'd gladly offer up the limited video stuff i got with my digital camera (ie like the other stuff i've given you on the data disc).

could just send it to ya in the mail (obviously i can't put it on a dvd-r or i would).. i'd planned on giving it to you at the atlanta show but you can just let me know amigo ;)

i am editing the footage, but i'm not sure a full DVD's worth
will make it. we're using it for an EPK (electronic press kit).
we've had some nibbles from the Conans of the world and
they've asked for some live video.

long in the distance, a DVD like the Beulah one may surface.
the same company that put theirs out has asked us.
after the tour we're gonna try to comb the vaults.
if anybody out there has some good footage PLEASE
send it our way. miniDV or even VHS is ok.
