little help I don't deserve

Hello all. I joined the board quite some time ago, showed some demos and disappeared to make music. I have a completed a 10 track a record, and that record is called: 'The Most Unprofessional Record Ever Made’. The title not only makes people drop any pretenses of music industry professionalism, but is supposed to be kinda humourous too.

I have only made a few demo copies, and these are indeed unprofessional (both something that warms my heart, but will sadly prevent them from ever getting noticed). To me, music is free, and while that means I’ll probably starve to death, I would like people to hear it, and hear what they think. I need ideas, people. I would like to get this thing out there, but I have no idea how, and don’t know where else to ask. I don’t think you can get any more ‘independent’ than some fool making music in a shack and recording it on lo-fi equipment.

I know this is probably the wrong place to post this, but I really don’t know where else it should go.

Maybe start up your own gmail account and give out the login to people that are intertested. I do not think that was the orignal intention of the e6files gmail account. I personally would rather have it stick strictly to E6 related things.

Anyway, just post it on the internet somewhere. Hopefully someone will be intrigued and take the time to listen to it. But personaly I find the title rather offputting. To me it just seems like it is trying to be clever like your mood and signature.

Hehehe, I assume that means you think I've tried and failed in whatever I was apparently contriving. I'm way too lazy to try that hard. Heh.

I do agree that I shouldn't use something E6 related to do my filing, as I don't really have any ties to anything remotely E6 related! I also get the impression you don't like me much; but hey, what can a guy do?

I'll find a way, and anyone can have some. I'll put some details up somewhere once I know.

Cassette, Vinyl, CD?

Cheapest way would be to put it on the net.

The most unprofessional way would to put it on cassette or record the audio on a VHS tape over episodes of Full House.

You seem like a nice guy. took my rather acidic comment well and I agree with you on principle of music (art) being free in theory. I would say I like you.

Believe or not, I have a boxes of blank 8-track cartridges...

But I think I'll put it on the net too.
